weekly Flyphots 52 for 2022: - Week 52 'Showcase'

I wish I'd thought of using a car window!

Lovely scene, great sky, nice leading lines and lots to hold your interest as your eye roams around the image.

Lovely scenic shot. Ticks the box perfectly.

Thanks both, appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Great scene... I find my head tilting a little so perhaps I would look to see if it needed straightening slightly.

Thanks Helen. I think the tilt is because of the cliffs, and the severe road camber to the left etc, as I know the horizon is horizontal (I had the same thing when PP'ing it and made sure the horizon was straight). It's an odd one for sure.

Nice seaside shot Jim :)

I can vouch for Budleigh looking like it's on a slant.

Very nice Jim. You can tell it's a blowy day from the pic and there's a lovely atmosphere to it.

With all the new and latest technology around at the moment, it's nice to know that children can still enjoy some good old hand cranked technology ...

Nice one :)

Well spotted..
It's old tech but it will have given a lot of pleasure to lots of children over the years.

That's a good arm workout there. Probably better then standing doing sets of arm curls.

Nicely done Jim. The old fashioned tech is much more interesting than the new electronic stuff.

Nice one... and I bet it doesn't break down very often as no "tech" to go wrong!

Thanks both. It was certainly interesting watching how it worked.

Although I don't think he'll ever shout "the louder you scream, the faster we go" unless he has arms like the Hulk :D :D :D

I smell cheating!... There's no way that's still a quid a ride nowadays, must be an old pic!!! :ROFLMAO:

A nice take on the theme, and I love the 'ordinariness' of it.

I went on a cycle ride with my grandson this afternoon, and we stopped for a break on this picnic table. Someone had discarded this empty lager bottle on the table and I was struck by the quality of the light at the time and in the shadow of the bottle.

The shadow adds interest with the colour and the detail on the table is !!

I Like it. One of my street photograph stemes a while back was 'Abondonded Drinks'. I have quite a collection :)

Thanks Dave, I can imagine a collection of images of discarded bottles - could make a nice photo collage i'd have thought.

I like the colour in the image Jim, fits the challenge well.

You're right.. and well spotted. The colour in the shadow is great.

That works really well Jim. I like the light shining through the bottle and casting that lovely shadow.

A great choice Jim, I might have been tempted to crop into the image and focus more on the shadow than the bottle.

Week 13 - Flora

A couple of choices of image for this week, but as someone has already posted a pano (which was my original plan for this theme) I managed to capture a nice colourful image from our front bed in the early evening light this evening.

And here is the 20 image pano of the lower Otter estuary n East Devon, This are is currently undergoing a project to take it back to how nature intended it to be ( a large floodplain). the project is called LORP and details, for anyone interested, can be found here: https://www.lowerotterrestorationproject.co.uk/
