weekly Flyphots 52 for 2022: - Week 52 'Showcase'

Week 8 - Light

There is light at the end of the wintery tunnel ...

Love Snowdrops, one of my favourite spring flowers. Great shot.

Nice bunch of snowdrops Jim. lots of wintery mud colour in the picture too.

Thanks both. I was struggling for inspiration for this week's theme, then I saw these whilst walking the dog and it came to me in a flash.

Thanks both, despite living about 35 miles away this was the first time i've been to Brixham harbour! I'll definitely go again though.

Despite living in and around Exeter all my life, I've never done the train trip down to Teignmouth! Maybe later this year.

Like the concept of Light at the end of the Wintery tunnel.

Thanks Nod. Teignmouth is nice although it seems to have become a bit run down over recent years, which is a shame.

It's the train trip along the coast that I have never done, we get down to Teignmouth several times a year and pass through it even more often. Lots of other things we want to do locally as well!

Good to see the snowdrops appearing. Lovely scene and the stream makes for a nice leading line through the image.

Thank you (y)

Week 9 - Damp + Tech Reflection

Looks damp and wet in equal measure.

Certainly meets the challenge.

defo need your wellies on there! Well spotted and shotted :)

Very Damp, I would assume the feeder is for cows due to its apprant size.

Certainly is damp Jim and you’ve done well to get the reflection in too.

That looks like really sucky 'steal your wellies' mud... and definitely damp.

It's a horse feeder :)

Ooohh...squidgy :wideyed:

That'll work then....... (y)

Certainly is damp Jim and you’ve done well to get the reflection in too.

Thanks all, very much appreciated

Bang on theme, I like how the blue sky only features in the reflection, giving a hint of how the wider shot would look.

Thanks, that was my idea with the image so i'm glad you noticed :)

Wouldn't want to be walking out to that feeding station Jim. Brings me back to growing up on the farm. I lost a lot of gumboots walking through muck like that.

yep, certainly looks like 'boot sucking' mud, haha

Fits the challenge brief for both theme & tech well Jim ... a nice image.

I can just imagine wellies getting stuck in there, it's definitely damp.
One of the first images I've seen where I can easily visualise the effect of the surroundings

That looks more than a bit damp... I'm surprised you didn't leave your wellies behind! Nice idea for the theme.

Thank you Helen :)

Week 10 - Seen Through a Window

This is Budleigh Salterton seafront at around lunchtime today. The day after yet another windy storm and torrential rain has passed though. It was blustery, sunny and 'fresh' - just how I like it!
This image was taken inside my car, through the windscreen

A wonderful scenic image Jim, love how you captured the gulls circling about.

Thanks Bill, the gulls were just gliding on the sea breeze, ad actually fair static in the sky above me so it was pretty fortunate (although I had to wait for a while until I saw them there).
