Hello All
Apologies if this is not in the correct section - mods please move if this is the case.
I have just started photography and have a problem that has me stumped.
I have a Canon 40D with a 430EXII flash - I am in a relativley dim room I set the camera at AV and choose an aperture for example f3.5, and the flash is set to ETTL, ISO 800.
The problem is that when I take the picture, the flash fires however the shutter speed is slow at about 1/2 second.
Why is this? I would have thought that the ETTL would have set the correct shutter speed and I would not have this long delay.
I am damn sure I am at fault here, so could anyone enlighten me and tell me that I am complete idiot and set me right ??
Cheers
Wallis
