Well, I dropped my camera in a lake over the weekend :bonk: Auto focus was off, as well as live view.

Telephoned Halifax and made a claim. Went through what happened. About two hours later received a call from DVS on behalf of Halifax.

New D300s arrived today. So 29 hours after I reported the accident I had a new camera :D

And, I still have the damaged one that I may have repaired.

Now I know my insurance premium will increase.....but 29 hours!

I am one happy customer.

doesn't the damaged one now belong to the insurer though ?

Halifax? was this on house insurance then or ?

Andy, glad to hear you had such great service. Can you tell me what policy you have please, I've been thinking of getting my stuff insured properly now that I'm starting to accumulate quite a bit of stuff.
 
Cant complain with that level of service, even more so from an insurance company.
