I dont think any fish eye has or needs IS?

Music man - is that the Canon 15mm lens that took that pic? Great night shot. Just what I need. out of my reach price wise
ANY focus sound (i mean the "BI BI" sound) when it is "focused"??
Hope you guys realise what I mean...

The 8mm fisheye, like all the Samyangs I know of, are manual focus![]()
No need to worry about focus though, I rarely change the settings on mine and is never out of focus.
I see they produce a 14mm too.
You can get focus confirm chips which you can attach to the collar of the Samyang so that the autofocus system can report that it is in focus.
It does come with a cap when not in use but I guess it comes down to being extra careful not to damage it when using it. No filter use is available. Noticed that there are electronics on it at all. so as far as focus, as mentioned already, is manual and metering is manual too so in auto mode will have no effect. Maybe trial and error at first. I might be wrong about this, so please correct me if so.
@Rod.F - I know. : )

Great shots Charlatan.
I have bitten the bullet and ordered one. Samyang 8mm. New £200 inc. delivery.
Should be here by the end of the week so I can take it to the Drag Racing meet at Santa Pod at the end of May.
