I have to agree with Scott about wind noise. I think I may have mentioned it before and the sound which is a bit high pitched in the video, not your fault. built in microphones are a pain. I too had the same issue and bought the microphone for it " Sony ECM-XYST1M Stereo Microphone" . I personally would not recommend it, too much trouble with a dead cat on it which you need anyway to cut the wind noise.
The other issue I had was that damn flappy cover over the hot shoe kept banging against the microphone which picked this up . there is only one answer and that is to remove that flap which isn't a good idea in case you want to put it back.
In my opinion you would be better using a different microphone and the microphone port instead.
as to which microphone?
I find that the small microphones suffer from producing a "tinny" sound when compared to a larger one.

top my Azden SMX-30 v ( I highly recommend duel function stereo/directional) the v version is the more than theSMX-30
bottom left Sennheiser MKE-400 (directional only)
Bottom right Panasonic VW-VMS10 (stereo)
Also had Boya stereo
Yes the smaller ones are kinda ok until you here the difference in sound reproduction.
when you consider getting the smaller two types they will cost nearly the same as the Azden and have to carry both and decide on site which to use and taking up camera bag space
As your ax53 is about the same size as my Panasonic this is what the Azden looks like in position with a dead cat on.

I respect Scotts judgment but I think it is only base on one microphone and not the best by far.
of course it is up to you but with many years of experience (14) and owning several different camera mounted microphones I can only say which I find is the best.
Note smaller microphone have fixed audio leads and if damaged the microphone on useless . The Azden has removable ones so need not be on top of camera, The Azden is powered either from the camcorder battery or 2xAA batteries so you have the option of which to used. Better not to drain the camcorder battery in my opinion
yes the Azden is more expensive agreed but well worth it
