I've got a firecrest square filter holder. The filters are 2mm thick.
Was looking for a less expensive square nd 6 stop filter.
SRB do one for £30 but it's 2.3mm thick.
Anyone know if it's likely to fit?
Cheers.

This is the holder that I have

I'm sure you could easily make shims to space the holders out if required. A soda can used to be made from aluminum about .3mm thick (probably thinner these days). Just layers of tape would probably do it.

Thanks.

I'm thinking if I loosen the screws on the holder I might be able to squeeze in the 2.3mm filter instead of the 2mm filters without needing shims?

Standard 80gsm copier paper folded in two measures 0.25mm to give you an idea.

Thanks guys.
I had a look at the holder last night.
My current 2mm filters just slide in without me touching the screws on the holder.
If I loosen the screws a 2.3mm will fit, I'll just need to loosen the screws, insert filter then tighten the screws.
No big deal I suppose.
