Film Photographer of the Year 2022 Discussion Thread

Just remembered that I hadn't posted the February thread, here it is

Well no rush, have a possible shot in a camera as long as it is actually working and not broken :dummy:

See that's why you enter early. You get a monopoly on the idea and everyone else with that idea gets to screw up their idea pad and start again or just shamelessly copy...

One a more serious note, are we allowed to comment on other entries? On occasion I see an entry that I think is really clever and innovative and a humble vote doesn't seem enough and once the month is done I've usually forgotten...

Didn't we try this a few years ago with a thread in which people who wanted feedback could post their photo? I'm all for commenting, it's the only way we learn, so comment away :)

I'd recently developed my image of a camera in bits, but thought that I might be able to do a better photo of a different camera. Then it occurred to me that this might be a popular choice for something broken, so I posted this to "bag" the idea.

I did the same for my gate. :ROFLMAO:

I might have to post mine already too as although we've done a few night skies I don't think I'm gonna get the roll finished by the end of this month.

I did take one not really to get ahead, but we were out for a city walk & I spotted something I thought was suitable.

That's what I'm hoping for ... or not, depending  :$
Probably cheaper if you broke something yourself Chris. Less valuable than your insurance excess, obviously. ;)

Ideally something will break in a neighbour's garden ;) There were bits of shed roof blowing by earlier

Would that be roofs shed from houses, or roofs shed from sheds?

We had cloches randomly scattered round the garden, and one bent pole this afternoon.

Looked out of my back window and my neighbour's fence was blown down, looked out of my front window, so was mine.

Went out today to finish the current roll in the SQ-A which has some broken (probably in every sense) photos on it but the place I thought was bound to have some storm damage, an already damaged old building with a tin roof had been repaired with shiny new tin! Most inconsiderate of them. So I have one frame left to shoot or process the roll without shooting the last frame...

... which for some reason I hate doing but whatever I shoot just to finish the roll will proably not be worthwhile anyway so why do I care about snapping off the last frame? IDK

It's looking good this month and there is still time to get those entries processed and uploaded.

5 days left, still time to get those photos processed and posted.

This runs all year, right? One entry per person per month?

OK, found the rules and actually read some of them...:naughty:

So, reflections for March...mmmhhh...

I need to reflect on this

Well done guys! A tricky theme I think... For me at least.

Looks like I'm going to quit before I even started , Far to many jobs to do
in my new home , Sorry folks :(

The March entries thread is now open for business

The month is off to a great start with a couple of (IMHO) really strong entries and I don't even have a shot yet :(
