take note Beverley ;)

Hmmm mine would have to be Terry's chocolate orange ones :) Be that a chocolate orange or segsations egg.

Take not matt ;)

I'd rather have a bar of chocolate... you get sooo much more :)

But there something about having half the chocolate you normally get in a dairy milk bar in the shape of a large egg :D

Pure and simple for me - Cadburys chocolate (has to be) probably buttons.

Sue is going to set off to work early tonight/go to tescos in the morning to get some more........

I just have to hope shes going to read this thead in a second...

Oh that must be a lush egg. mmm Green and Blacks.

Have you noticed they stopped doing easter eggs with mugs a few years ago?

Well I wrote to them a couple of years ago.....and after being sent various replies from various chocolate companies.........They now sell them again?

See? I did that :D I started them selling the mugs again :D

Here's the letter

=============================
Hi there,

I feel I must write to you to express my dismay over your Easter Egg products over recent years. Allow me to explain.

When I was a child, being the youngest of three children, I always drew the short straw at easter. While my two elder sisters were receiving Easter Eggs accompanied by the various products' mugs, I was simply palmed off with smaller eggs, which were often accompanied by nevertheless tasty, but one-mouthful morsels, such as Buttons, or a Curly Wurly.
I always felt left out, as my eggs never came with a mug, a mug which I so yearned for. Pleas with my sisters to let me use their mugs, or indeed maybe have one, fell upon deaf ears. I had cruel older sisters back then.
Even so, our cupboards would be adorned with mugs such as Wispa, Dairy Milk, and I'm sure there was a Crunchie and a Double Decker mug too. For years I desperately wanted one of these mugs, but never got one (nor got enough pocket money to buy one for myself).

Now I'm an adult in my own right, I can treat myself to such luxuries and thus for the past few years, I have been searching for similar easter eggs with mugs. Unfortunately, I come home each time empty handed, and dejected.

Another easter, chocolate-mug-less.

This year I did find one easter egg with a mug, but it was Homer Simpson, and lets face it, he's fat, yellow, and not someone I want to be sipping hot tea from. Infact it's the same shape as my wife's current mug, and I think that's too close to being 'girlie' for me.

So now I'm mugless once again. I'm not sure why your company has stopped manufacturing them, as such eggs used to be so prevalent. But sadly not any more, which is a darn shame. Therefore I feel I had to write to you to let you know that as a lifelong chocolate lover (I'll step on the scales to prove it if you like), it is with a heavy hand on my heart, that I am giving up in my search for an Easter Egg mug from popular chocolate brands such as those you manufacture, and am retiring to a life of mugs adorned with the words "Tea" or "Coffee", available from Asda at 99p. If you do ever decide to reintroduce Easter Eggs with mugs, then you'll find me amongst the earthenware section of Ikea, wandering aimlessly with a slight whimper and a sad look.

Kind Regards

Marcel, aged 27 and 1/4.

PS. On the upside, thanks for some ace chocolate over the years, and for keeping Creme Eggs on the go.

PPS. Bring back the Milk Tray adverts..."And all because the lady loves...." They were top notch.
(The chocolate products were changed for each different chocolate company).

Nestle wrote to me and said "Sorry, we dont do them any more, have a free Nescafe mug instead".
Errr, Cadbury sent me something else, and Mars? Didn't even get a reply from that bunch of sheisters :p

Not really got a favourite, any will do, it's all chocolate  as long as it's not the cheapo like Kinnerton etc...:)

Glenmorangie flavour - not bothered if chocolate enters the equation :)

I must find some time to visit that planet you're on Marcel
Jon that's a suprise!  :puke:
I suppose Bev will be along later asking for a poppadom flavour egg
You kids! ... Paul ;)

I don't eat chocolate, it gives me migraine.
Galaxy would have been my favourite if I could still eat it.
I can't even eat hot cross buns, they make my psoriasis (sp) worse. :(

I`ve just finished a Mini Egg one, and I may move onto a Flake one.

I don`t like chocolate you know, It`s just a shame to have the boxes making the place look untidy........

Hang on a minute, you're not supposed to have your Easter Eggs until Easter Sunday  :nono:

Doh! we always have that argument.

As a kid, we had Hot Cross Buns on Good Friday...and Easter Eggs on Sunday morning....... and my mum painted boiled eggs that we had for breakfast!(awww!)

Then when our kids came along my husband reckoned easter eggs should be had on good friday...and of course the kids agreed because they wanted them as soon as poss!

I had to stop myself saying it every year....but it just wasnt right :suspect:

Now look what you've gone and done!

Beverley is standing alongside me right now saying "See Janice does her Eggs on Friday! Please let me have my Easter Egg now, please, please, pretty please"

:p

AH!! I said I DON'T AGREE WITH DOING THEM ON FRIDAY....IT SHOULD BE SUNDAY........AND WAS ONLY DONE FRIDAY FOR THE KIDS!!!!!

We dont have eggs at all now........so she can wait till SUNDAY!!!!

Too late! I gave in  the begging was getting too much :( She's now gone back to bed with her Terry's Chocolate Orange egg...........ahhhh peace at last :)

Blimey that'll make a mess on the sheets! (as long as she hasnt gone back to bed with her mars bar.......marianne faithful!!) :D

And most of us remember what she did with them...

Cadburys eggs rule. Love them unfortunately..

I have a tonne of eggs downstairs now :D

I havent eaten any yet this year, I've been very good so far. Will see if I can make them last a few weeks ;)

Its the little rabbit pictures on the eggs isnt it that does it?

and because its dairy milk mmmmmmmmmmm

I agree with Janice, eggs are for Easter SUNDAY, hot cross buns for good friday, that's how I was brought up too, and I've managed to carry it on with my son, although as he has got older the odd one has been demolished before the Sunday.

Anything with Dime Bars.
IKEA do sacks of Mini-Dimes (or 'Daim' in Svee-dish, jah...).
Also found that the local German E-Centre supermarkets do sacks of Mini-Daims as well... currently building a small pill-box in the flat in Hohne, substituting mini-Daim bags for sand-bags. Well, they tell me chocolate's a substitute for sex... we'll see..

WHITE CHOCOLATE for me!!!!! (Joe has been to get mine today) mmmm, looking forward to tomorrow!!!:D :D :D

ps: I have given up alcohol for two weeks. . . . . bring on the chocolate instead!

WHITE CHOCOLATE for me!!!!!

:puke: If there's one thing I can't stand the taste of, it's white chocolate. A patient once got me a beautiful looking Thornton's easter egg but I gave it away 'cos it was made of the white stuff :gag: :'(

I'm with you there Cheryl  White chocolate is just gopping! :puke:
