Went to an early view of Exposed, Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera at Tate Modern this morning. Took over an hour and a half to look round. Found it absorbing. Some of it is early photography, a bit of photojournalism, other parts are about the growth of celebrity, still more about 'peeping Tom' photos, others about covert photography. If you are interested in that sort of thing, its well worth a visit. Lots of the photos are quite small, so you have to get close, but there are large projected images as well. Some well known photographers (Weegee, Cartier Bresson) and some well-known photos (Marilyn Munroe and THAT dress).
I think the topic of where does street photography cross the line into invasion of privacy has been discussed to death, and this show does make you consider the historic growth and what is/was acceptable or unacceptable.
