Just been perusing ebay and found this description of a Pentax 67 prism finder and having read through the listing I'm no better informed :lol:

It does not confirm the operation.
To the glass of the prism, only one point has a small wound.
However, there are not the stains.

I am just imagining it telling you in a husky voice if your exposure is correct.

in fairness, machine translation HAS improved immeasurably... I recall one parts manual for a Komatsu excavator that had translated the phrase "Hydraulic Ram" as "Aquatic Sheep"

I'd much rather buy from a Japanese vendor who posts lots of photos and provides plenty of commentary although grammar syntax and wording sometimes can be nearly imperfect so and some scratching to body parts than buy from someone in the UK who says very little beyond "Rare collectors item: don't know anything about this item but it looks shiny. No returns."

In fact I've bought big value items from Japan without problem and less issue with HMRC and their hangers on and administrative add-ons.
 
Good point. I've just received two extension tubes for my RZ from Japan that cost less than a single tube does over here, including the import duty and RM's admin fee.
 
Anyone seen any of those "rare" Zenits knocking about on there? That always makes me laugh

When I was looking for a Honda Integra at least 90% were labelled as rare, there were at least 50 listed! :lol:

It's the same as adding JDM to any Japanese car part listing, instantly doubles it's value, even if it's a UKDM part!
 
I'll bear in mind to tootle my horn trumpet next time I'm out on the bike :D
