I have been vaping for a while now. Currently my favourite set up is a ProVari mini with a kayfun lite atty and grants vanilla custard
 
I am so wanting to try grants... maybe one day in a million years to come lol
 
can the flavour of liquids change over time? I know people say to steep liquids to get the flavour out, but this seems like a total change in flavour.

I bought 30ml of fruit salad about a month ago and had mixed the last 15ml with some extra, cola and irn bru I had from before that(about 5ml of each) and have been vaping that the past few weeks. Both the cola and irn bru didn't have much flavour just sort of sherbety so it just tasted of a slightly fizzy fruit salad.

But I've noticed that as I've vaped the last 10ml(split it into 10ml bottles) or so over the past few days its got more bitter, not in a bad way..more like eating tangtastic haribo sweets(sweet but sour, and my mouth and teeth get that feeling just like eating a bag of haribo).Well thats the taste you get in your mouth after vaping it for a while.

When my triphammer ordered arrived, that same day I opened them all to smell them and there was no registerable smell with any of them. I tried wham bar and it barely tasted of anything. From what I could taste, I didn't like it.

I put them in a cupboard to steep for 3, nearly 4, days. After that, every one of them has a really strong smell and the taste of wham bar is very, very different to what it was that first day.

The "sweeter" liquids I've had definitely get stronger in taste and change somewhat the longer I have them. I don't notice it that much though because I only tend to buy 10ml at a time of each flavour.

The majority of them can change Peter from what I read along the way, a lot of people will leave their liquid for three to four weeks even.

might have to buy a bunch and leave them and see what happens to them then :)

Anyone read an article in either the sun or daily mail recently regarding e cigs/vaping ? not sure which paper but I'm sure it was one of either above.

Ive had two people I know say to me in the past few day when I was vaping that they read that they are just as bad for you and have as many carcinogens as a normal cigarette, I didn't see the article but would be interesting to read.
 
Well, my small order for a couple of bottles of juice from Tablites has turned up.

I ordered from them on Tuesday evening, and they arrived first thing this morning. :thumbs:

Love the menthol juice already I'm trying already... :D

I've been on the Evod starter for a couple of weeks now, and haven't given much thought to a cigar at all. I think I'd like a bigger container for juice, and the battery life isn't much cop - maybe a day at most.

I think I need something a big bigger fairly soon - without getting too technical, I like the simplicity of the Evod...suggestions?

If you like the evod then the Protank II would probably be the one to go for to increase capacity. A bigger tube mod would give you scope for longer battery life. Something like a Vamo or SVD ould also give you variable wattage & Voltage. Or you could look at an MVP 2 which should give you 2-3 days between charges but can be used while charging as well.
 
thats my 4 liquids arrived today. none smell very strong and think they all need a steep.
the fruit salad is very clear, but normally goes very yellow after a steep.
the gummy bears has a very sweet smell but thats about it.
the red lace, has a very funny smell, almost like tcp.
the black jack has a distinct liquorice/ aniseed smell.

So far I've only given the black jack a try and have been vaping it the past few hours.
I quite like it I have to say, when vaping there doesn't seem to be a very strong taste so far, but does have one and it leave a very distinct aniseed taste in the mouth. The vapour smells very much like black jacks.

Think I will leave it a bit after this fill, but can see myself buying it again.

Thanks for the options, I've just had a look at the Protank II on myepack and that looks like it'd do the job. I'll investigate further :thumbs:
 
Well, Brussels was interesting.

We saw 7 MEPs and/or their assistants. 6 of them from the EPP group (the biggest grouping in the EP) and one S&D (socialists, greens etc). They were from Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden and one other I can't remember (as we split up to cover 2 in the same time slot).

We talked mainly about my experience with both smoking and vaping, leading on to the potential risks of medicines regulation (both in terms of the impact on Vapers and the potential impact on smoking mortality/illness rates).

6 of the 7 meetings were highly positive. All the EPP members were at least cautiously supportive, with 2 or 3 of them saying they would definitely vote against med regs and the other 3 (assistants) saying they would convey our concerns to their boss. All 6 wished us well and one assistant closed the meeting by asking where he could get a Kayfun!

The 7th meeting (with the Swedish socialist) was bizarre to say the least. We were extremely surprised she agreed to meet us, and even more so when she called the campaign back home to make sure we were coming (twice I think). The S&D group includes Linda McAvan MEP (the leader on the TPD) and they're fiercely anti-ecig. I should've known it was a trap. We got there and were met by a Swedish state TV crew, doing a piece on lobbying and the TPD. They filmed us arriving, then part of the meeting, mainly while the MEP threw a series of evidence-free concerns at us and wouldn't let us get a word in edgeways. As soon as I started answering her concerns the TV crew left (but waited outside to film us walking away). Once they were gone, the MEP, who was rapidly getting worked up as her arguments were obviously weak, declared we were out if time. All in all, a bloody fit up. We were only there for the TV crew. She had no interest in discussing anything. We were both fuming, but made sure we didn't show it.

Still, media traps aside, it was all very encouraging. On the second day, we learned that the EPP group were likely to recommend supporting an ALDE Group (Lib Dems and others) amendment, allowing non-medicinal Ecigs up to 30mg. If they vote as a block, we will have a majority. Apparently Linda McAvan was highly annoyed and there was a rumour she threatened to scupper the whole TPD, if she didn't get her way. Poor wee lamb!
 
Good work John, well done. Sounds like you handled the situation well. I can imagine the reactions if a trap was lain the other way!

Now a rare thing for me who hardly ever buys ready made juice, a juice recommendation. Or rather, 6 of them. Got one these selection tins in today's vapemail:

It's a bit pricey. Was £17 when I ordered, now it's £20 for 6 x 5ml bottles, so not the cheapest by a long way. However it's well worth a punt for 2 reasons. Firstly the flavours are very good. Some interesting combinations and loads of flavour. A few of them really hit you between the eyes. Lovely for an evenings dripping.

Secondly, the tin it comes in has a foam insert which makes it a great mod stand for 22mm mods like the vamo et al. I had jogging the coffee table (or pub table) and knocking my mods over, so this tin/stand is ideal. Worth a fiver in my book, so overall the value is fair enough.

As for the juices, i've seen some of them talked about in UKV a few times... so i've put some in my wishlist for soon to be purchases:D

well gave the gummy bears a go and its not for me. I've been on fruit salad for a month or so but the gummy bear is just to sweet. It actually makes me feel a bit sick after vaping it for 10 minutes. It went dark yellow/brown after 2/3 hits i presume form caramelising. my mix some menthol in and see if that help.

Have you joined a group buy Rich? Or have you ordered on your own?
I'm tempted by the 91% but would want it yesterday.
 
The Russian has the airflow adjuster which you will have on the 3.1. I think (but could be wrong) that the tank sections are interchangeable between the 91% & the KFL so should be fine too.

I have looked at a few vids on it John, a couple of them more than once. Is there an advantage :shrug: some seem to think the adjustable airflow is. It would have been nice to have tried either first hand, but there you go. At the moment I have a protank 2 and a couple of iClear 30`s, imho the draw on the iClear`s are tighter and suite me which is why I went for the Russian. And if I decide to sell it on then I know Colin will want it as I supply a first class postal service :lol:

It's sporting a micro coil and cotton wool now, been vaping with it since just after 11 this morning. No leaks (since my first failed build) or dry hits yet. Fingers crossed I can keep it going that way.

Edit: It looks good on the SVD too. Didn't take a picture of it on that because I'm waiting for a couple of 18350's arriving tomorrow to bring it down to a "less embarrassing length" (never thought I would be able to say that in my life!)

E cigs and aeroplanes?

Can you take them as hand luggage or indeed use them on a plane?

Not that I'm planning on going anywhere at the moment - just wondering ;)
 
I take them on as hand luggage frequently flying Edinburgh to Belfast and have used them on the plane.
 
Hey gang

You know the little thingies that heats up to give you the vape… why am I seemingly getting through so many of these?

I've had my Evod starter kit almost 3 weeks now and gone through 5 already! Can you clean them or do anything to them to extend life? At this rate I'll spend more on them than the juice!!

Why have you used so many - I've had the same one for about 4 weeks :thinking:

I'm not sure. I'm hoping someone here can help me out… battery life is about a day, is that bad!
 
My ego's are only about a day too.... although i'm not sure why you are going through so many coils... i soak mine in hot water then leave to dry over night or roughly 24hrs... i do this every few top ups depending if i'm putting new juice in too... some i think change coils weekly (new ones)maybe but some just clean them and re use until burnt taste or lacking flavour etc... i buy 2/4 every few weeks i guess
