E-Cigarettes

Thanks John, I'm more interested in real life experiences tbh. I have read that the only way to aid the recovery is to (try) and do as much cardiac excercise as possible. So, I shall persist - tomato face and all.

Strangely, so far my sense of taste and smell doesn't seem to have changed too much this time, although this was one of the first things I noticed on stopping smoking previously

I gave up 5 years ago Sarah and I truly believe that prior health also has a lot to do with it.
I have had an active outdoor life for many years now, even before smoking and didn't really notice much difference afterwards, so perhaps lifestyle plays some part in recovery.

One thing I did find though was that after I packed up smoking I got hit hard by every cold/flu sickness bug going for the first year but that's gone back to normal now.

I would say that although the craving doesn't totally go away just just wekens with time , even now I sometimes fancy a smoke, but a couple of years after I packed up I went through a really bad patch and reached for the ciggies, immediately I took a couple of drags I threw up, whether it was the cigarettes or something else I don't know but that really made not even want to try again.

One thing I do hate though is self righteous ex-smokers, we all know how hard it is to give so why make things tough for those that fail
Anyone that has met me will know that I don't mind people smoking around me or even in my car if the window is open.

It`s effecting me already  I feel the urge to start modding my Evod already. And for the record, that does not imply that I shall be stuffing my clearomiser up Cobra`s arse and start sucking on it :nono::nono::nono: :D

See, I warned you! Bet you ignored my advice and started reading reviews and things on UKvapers didn't you?

I'm patiently waiting on a slow boat from China now. At least with ordering things and waiting for weeks for delivery I couldn't cave in and start smoking again.

I got told off by a security guard for Vaping in my local shopping centre this morning. "Are you blind?" he said, pointing to a no smoking sign. I'd have argued with him, but decided not to in front of my son (10). So I just shrugged and pocketed the vamo/protank.

As we walked away, the boy says "he must be blind if he thinks that's a cigarette!". :D

You did!! You did!! Colin :D What is on that slow boat though :naughty::naughty:

You will always unfortunately get the jobs worth :(

I've been lucky so far caping in shopping centres, airports and on planes with no issues :)

I wasn't really bothered. The only thing that annoyed me was that I was wearing shades but didn't have the presence of mind to say "yes actually I am blind, could you escort me to my car?" . :D

I was in London the past 5 days. I vaped on the tube, in Heathrow, in the queue for both Sea life and the dungeon ... nobody batted an eye. White ego twist, green-ish/yellow iClear 16, with refresher juive in there. Maybe people just liked the fruity sweet smell so let me vape on? :D

Have just ordered a bottle of Snake Oil from TMax, any of you guy`s tried it yet?

Have heard of it but not tried, currently enjoying trip hammers Zanzibar which is unbelievable :)

Nice to see such a large thread about ecigs. I made the switch in January and my health has improved massively.

Making my own juice now. Need to get a VV mod soon though. I get my supplies through LTecigs (no connection). Quality is great, price is even better.

I contacted him yesterday for a sample, should be with me the end of next week. I wanted to try it out before making a bigger order.

My SVD is on it's way and should be here next week too.

And yesterday I rebuilt my first coil and wick. Went surprisingly well

Heads up.

If anyone wants to try the near-legendary Grants Vanilla Custard, Cloud 9 Vaping have some and are opening at 10am today.

They also have some Kayfun Lights coming, which will probably sell out in a couple of hours, tops.

There's a guy over here doing a Crème brûlée that is nicer than GVC.

I have gone off any custard/Crème brûlée [which is more what they all are] juices .Just don't get along with them any more.

First time I tried Grant's I thought it was lovely, but half way through the bottle it was like a chore to vape. They're too sickly sweet and I'm not really sure why it's so popular in vape form? It doesn't work IMO. Not like people make out at least.

So far I've had a French vanilla and vanilla custard from 2 different suppliers but they seem tasteless :-( maybe its me but I'd love to find a nice proper creamy vanilla..?

As an aside, I'm sure it's been mention plenty but I'm being a lazy biatch and to save scrolling, how much liquid roughly do you guys vape a day?

It really depends. I find if I am out and about more than usual, I vape very little, just the odd puff here and there when I feel a wee craving.

At home, probably 3-4ml perday on average? I must keep track some day, it's probably more. Especially weekends when I might have a few beers.

Ah that's ok then I was worried I was over using, my clearo thing is just the 1.6 ml and I think I only refill once in a day, depending on when I've filled previous.

I love the stuff, but its definitely not an all-day vape. A couple of ml in the evening is about my limit.

Been trying to recreate the recipe, but can't quite seem to nail it. The nearest I've come is 18% Copella VC, 5% TPA Dulce de Leche, and about 3% Ethyl Maltol (sweetener). Needs a good 3 weeks steeping. It's slightly lighter than GVC but if I add any more custard flavour it starts getting very cheesey. :gag:

I swear, I was all about GVC when I first tried it. Couldn't wait for the next bottle. Ordered before half-way through the first. I would just be wary, that people do get tired of it, so wouldn't invest too much time in creating it.

Is thid any good or worth spending more?
Im still lost as to what to buy to be honest.

Or is this better

http://paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/egoce5-blister-pack-p-536.html.

Whats the actual difference?

The two links are the same.

Anyway, that's a good starter option. About the cheapest in the UK and far far better than any cigalike on the market.

Spending more will get you a longer lasting battery (eGo batteries go up to about 1300mah), or a better atomiser (bigger tank capacity, better taste, easier to replace/rebuild the coil etc). Some batteries have a "passthrough" option, meaning you can use them while charging. The coil/wick in the atty will only last 1-2 weeks, so it can be considered a consumable (so order a spare or two).

Spend a fair bit more and there are variable voltage/wattage batteries which allow you to vary the amount of vapour it produces (which affects flavour as well). Spend a lot more and there are "mods", VV/VW tubes that you can remove/replace the batteries in (the best long term option).

I'm not a fan of CE4/CE5 type atomisers and much prefer Kanger EVODs for small eGo batteries.

Paradise Vape is very cheap, but his range is limited. Have a look at Vape Escape, Liberty Flights, or UK Ecigs for a better idea of what's available.

Sorry this was the other iteam.

On another note that me been off normal smokes for a week and a half for the most part. Stopped last tuesday night and had 3 smokes on saturday when out and had another wednesday just passed, the one I smoked on wednesday day tasted nasty to be honest and hopefully cant see my self going back.

As I posted I've only been using the 10 motives rechargeable just now, didn't like the normal so bought a pack of menthol cart's and they seemed alot better but after a week or so on them the taste seems to have gone some what and the smoke doesnt seem enough(they seem to produce more than the normal though).

Just looking for the next step.

The Vape Esc kit gives you bigger batteries (x2) and the spare atomisers you'll need to keep you going more than a week.

Flavour-wise, there's loads of good non-tobacco juices. I like fruits, myself, particularly blueberry, cherry, strawberry and (my main day vape) cola. RY4 is a generic name (varies between vendors somewhat) which seems like the most popular tobacco flavour.

I've now had two dealings with vape escape and they're superb.

Both orders have arrived quickly and if you get a chance try their Zanzibar ejuice it is stunning.

Same as Ryan, they get my vote. Just received a bottle of Very Berry with a shot of Menthol and a bottle of Strawberry and Honey mix.

Decisions decisions  I think I am heading down a Rocky Road :D

After today's delivery I thought I should have some toffee apple for tea :)

Pre-filled carts never last long. You've no real idea how much is in them, always best to get refillable carts and a bottle of juice ;)

To move up a notch, I'd suggest a Kanger twist starter kit.

http://www.e-smokeireland.eu/product-p/kangtwist.htm

This kit has been put together by vapers, who know what the beginner is after.

"This kit contains genuine Kanger/Joyetech parts. No imitations!

Each Kit Contains: 2 650mah/900mah Joyetech Ego-C Twist Batteries.(Black)
2 Kanger T3/T2/E-Vod Clearomizers (2.4-2.6ohms)
1 Joyetech USB Charger
1 Mains Plug 1 Ego Carry Case
1 Wingnuts Sample Pack (e-liquid)
30ml Mom and Pops eliquid!!!"

€56/£48 - I think it's a great price. Much better than what I paid for a shoddy Ego-C starter kit with those annoying ego-C type attys and carts. I ended up having to buy clearomizers separately. If something like this was available then I'd have been all set from the off.

I see you can also choose iClear 16 clearos in the kit, I'd opt for either those or the evods to start. You won't need anything else for a while, except juices maybe.

I've had the worst day since I started vaping.

I left my spare 3.7v 14500 in my pocket which created a circuit with some keys in my pocket which burnt my leg and exploded as soon as I got it out of my pocket which could have been nasty. Then if that wasn't bad enough I dropped my odyssey cracking the tank :(

Now stuck with a backup battery and some cheap ce4's.

On the plus side its a great excuse to splash out on a provari mini and the hunt is on for a decent tank.

I tried my brothers ego C yesterday and was really impressed with it, what is the problem with them? I know he has the odd leak but that is down to the caps on the cart. I am going to pull the trigger this week on a kit and mixing kit for juices.

The ego C carts are just terrible. The atomizers are always falling out of place when changing carts, just filling the little carts is messy and they don't hold very much, about 1ml I think? and I just don't like how they vape tbh.

And I do mean this type:

ego-c-cone-base-and-head-l-1.jpg

I mean, go for an Ego C kit by all means, but I'd be willing to bet you'll run to clearomizers after a week or two with them. SO why not just start with the better option?

Thanks. Going to look at an evic later. Will post back later.

If you're considering an eVic, have a look at the Pink Mule website. When I got mine, they were a fair bit cheaper than any UK site and delivery only took a week (from Spain). They're also the only EU distributor for Siam Mods eVic tubes (in steel or brass) which are much better than the cheap Joytech aluminium tubes.

Thanks. Have been offered a good deal.

well I am sat at home with an evic a dda and a rebuild-able cartoniser along with all the ingredients for mixing up some juices. I haven't been this happy in a long time.:)

Well I must admit I am looking to upgrade to something else with variable voltage and something I can re-coil. Looking at classifieds in UKV can be a bit confusing if you do not know whats what regards to thread fittings etc, if people added a picture to begin with it would be a better idea also. On the subject of mixing guy`s, how does it compare price wise to buying E-Juice? Is there a decent cost saving or is it just the versatility of tailoring it to your own needs?

I can tell you what I paid yesterday.

£20 for 50ml if 54mg platinum ice nicotine

£7.99 for 250ml of ag dilutant

£4.99 for 20ml of flavouring

I mixed my first 22ml batch last night 8mg nicotine strength and used 3ml of platinum ice 3.5 ml of flavouring and 15.5 ml of ag.

A substantial saving then Dave by the looks of things, hopefully not a case of the more you make the more you vape  Have you been mixing long, and have you tried many recipes? I just come across this freebie, not sure if it is any good or not  Do you stick to a main supplier of your ingredients Dave? Sorry for all the questions :D

Bloody hell :gag: Just read the read me note with that software. I understood pure Nicotine was dangerous but not that it was more toxic than Arsenic.

Last night was my first go at mixing. It is straight forward and easy enough was a little nervous about the nicotine but all was good.

I got my ingredients from a totally wicked reseller.

Is this should have been an edit of the above post.

So I should be able to make about 600ml of juice for £50. Seems cheap enough to me.

Also talking to my brother last night so has been vaping for a couple of three years, he rekons on about 30ml of juice a week for him.

I use 72mg base from the Alchemist Cupboard (£12 for 50ml) and get about 200ml of 18mg juice for about £1.25 for 10ml.

Incidently, you can recoil EVODs and protanks. It's a bit fiddly, but not difficult.
