Dual Monitor Display.

Does your grpahics card give you the option? Did you want it, for example, on Photoshop so that your tools/windows is on one monitor and your image on the other?

Just put a dual monitor card in and now can run programs on different screen at the same time, low res monitor for interenet high res for photoshop...

I use dual display - find it really helpfull. Takes a bit of getting use to, but really handy for just putting stuff to one side whilst working on something else. For example now I have Radio one playing online on the right hand screen and Chatzilla (in the talkphotography room) and on this screen I have firefox and photoshop (minimized) - just gives you more room to play with really :D (not sure how good double the radiation from two monitors is though!)

I only upgranded today, but looks as though its going to be useful but as you say will take some getting used to.
Glad I'm not the only one....

I'm on a Dell 20.1" 2007WFP at the moment, I've got priorities over a second one, but one day! I shall get a dual display up.

Yeah i use two monitors, have done for ages. It's great having all your tools on one screen and just the image on the other. Monitors are dead cheap these days too. Once you have two monitors you'll wonder why you hadn't done it ages ago!

I use dual display at work. My laptop screen and the external 20" LCD display. I need more desktop real estate! It's always bigger the better when it comes to these things. ;)

Had dual monitors at home and at work for years. Love it to pieces - never looked back.

If you do it, get Ultramon. Amazing bit of software which extends the taskbar, manages dual wallpaper, etc

I run 2 monitors at home and I always really miss the 2nd when I am away from the dual setup or cant have them running for some reason.

Im running a dell 20.1" 2004FPW and an old 17" crt, I have a 21" crt here but it steals to much deskspace to use it.

I used dual monitors for a while and really liked the extra desktop space. Ive found having 2 seperate systems next to each other is much more useful... As soon as I get my lazy bones down to Ikea I will be buying a new desk allowing me to get the best of both worlds.. 2 systems and 3 monitors on the 1 desk. :) with the centre screen switchable between both systems and also connected to my Xbox360.

I used to run 2 monitors, but tried one 30" and its made my workflow faster.
So I just run 1 30" Apple Cinema Display.

i used to have a duel setup but started using different desktops instead. Was exactly the same thing so i sold the extra monitor.

Its a novelty to start with bit didnt really ever get used much TBH

OK if you can afford it. System only cost me 55 pounds to set up including 2 Iiyama pro CRT monitors 19 inch. Really like the flexability of this system and dead easy to set up.

I had a 30¨ Apple for about an hour... it was too damn big, took it back for a refund and instead bought a 24¨ iMac.

Ahh yes. I'm waiting for the price on the 30" to drop and then I'll upgrade my PC so I can run it.

30" is equivalent to approx 2 x24" displays.
So loads of room for everything, superb for when i need to edit HD video streams for clients DVD's, as you can have numerous streams on display at once without loosing editing controls.

its the resolution that really counts

I'm running a pair of 24" Dells at home and a laptop plus a 19" TFT in the office. I hate having to go back to a single screen if I'm away from the office, there just isn't enough room for all the windows I need open.

The Dells are great though, I work on the main one and anything that just needs monitored sits on the other one although they're usually obscured by Media Player!
