Do people today lack a sense of humour?

Too many policital correct lefties fighting the wrong fight for the wrong reasons. Man and grow the f up. s*** doesn't need to be filtered to be funny.

You may find something offensive because your head is so far up your own ass. Unless someone is actually flaming your children or your family for no reason let it slide and enjoy life for what it is. If someone wants to call me gay, honky, white boy, p****, c*** or anything else I'm not going g to be the slightest bit bothered my friends call me worse.

Life is for living spend more time enjoying and less time worrying. You get one life and that's it. Don't spend it with your boxers wedged up like a thing up your arse because you are too uptight.

If I offended anyone in the making of this post. F off ;)

One you lot serious need to lighten the f*** up.

I couldn't care what anyone calls me ever, its only words, and I am a grown up.

Who gives a f*** if you get called, gay straight or whatever.

You don't sound very grown up, you display a very immature attitude which typifies and supports Homophobia, but probably don't even realise it. It's just as well you don't mind being called names, because you come across as a right throbber !

I do once again feel the need to point out the thread was started by someone outraged on behalf of Richard Hammond.

Someone complaining that 'people don't have a sense of humour' because they complained about a joke that wasn't funny.

Just sayin'

Not started by those whinging lefties, so when it comes to 'grow up' just lets get it straight who got their knickers in a twist for absolutely f*** all :p

Maybe the thread title and opening post?

Y'know, so that you don't put your foot in it ;)

Most people generally grasp the gist of the thread by reading (at least) the first post. It certainly sets the scene along with the title which is a rudimentary clue about the subject which is yet to follow.....

Others just jump into the middle and thrash around, out of their depth, not really knowing what's going on, or where they are, in a gormless daze and miss the point completely.

Why would someone's political persuasion left of centre qualify them to read the whole thread anyway ?

And this is my point entirely.

im sitting here having a laugh where as there are people that take life far to seriously

To go back to the original question poised by the OP. "Do people today lack a sense of humour" ?

The overwhelming empirical evidence displayed here suggests, yes they have !

On the bright side - I have seen loads of disappointment from former fans about the grand tour and many have commented on other forums, that they will soon or have already cancelled the Amazon trial period they took out in order to see grand tour and the shallow, greedy fools who present it.

Seems to me that the behaviour of Hammond and all those condoning him (the other presenters, the editors, the pet producer, the scriptwriters who all are just as empty) are looking at the viewing figures and not finding what they expected. Given what Amazon is paying and what Amazon hoped for... I suspect things backstage are not very pleasant.

Hence this desperate and pathetic grab at any publicity, whatever the personal cost to anyone but themselves, to bring in anyone at all to an Amazon subscription, however low or vicious they may be, to boost the sales and viewing figures.

I am so glad the BBC (and therefore every licence payer) is no longer funding these 3 and their pet producer.

What does any of this have to do with the question asked about having a sense of humour?

Everything,

Because I will have a great laugh if GT flops and fails - they are a bunch of deeply unpleasant greedy people with egos the size of houses and Amazon is supporting thier unpleasant behaviour just to make money.
How could I not enjoy them failing publicly when they have been so nasty to so many other harmless folk over so many years.

They even failed to warn local people about blowing up bits of Clarksons home until the night before the event when the locals could not get it stopped. Resulting in them doing the explosives during the middle of a local funeral service if the newspaper report was correct. Still, it got them more publicity, so all to the good eh!

Cheers folks, I have nothing more to say on this.

But I see alot of bitterness which is just horrible to see. Why anyone wants to see anyone do badly in life is just horrible. We hear a snippet from the media or read one post one comment one thing and then it's decided what we feel about someone and judge them and feel that we would want them to fail.

For one I am enjoying the show, the acting is dreadful but it's three men who are friends having a laugh and a good time and getting paid well to do it so fair f*****g play if someone offered the same to me I'd snap their hands off.

The show will carry on for years and quite rightly so, one comment doesnt define someone's personality.

Go watch some comedy see how offensive they are whether it's a female comedian with casual sexism against their lazy husband, an older comedian about their wife. Maybe a younger one about how easy it is to pick someone up at a club., Or maybe someone taking about their colour of their skin it's all in the PC world wrong but we turn a blind eye to things because we don't deem them to be offensive.

Anyways casual rant over.

As a license payer, this kind of gripe is about the least of my own.
