Calumet sell spare inserts for their rolling case for £31 (http://www.calumetphoto.co.uk/item/RM2201/). These fit nicely in Members soft rolling cabin cases (which look like: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Members-Taraw...115604&cguid=44a003ef12b0a47a2ed51ea5ff67ebfa). I got my cabin case for £20 at the local market meaning I have a well-padded rolling case for my camera gear that looks nothing like a camera case and is small enough to be taken on aircraft (including Ryanair) although probably not within weight limits, should they weigh it, all for about £50. The Calumet official version (which is very nice I should say) costs £150, and Think Tanks etc go for much more.
I manage to fit this lot inside :
1D mark III
5D mark II
300/2.8
70-200/2.8
24-70/2.8
50/1.4
85/1.2
The 1D is a squeeze as the calumet case isn't really quite deep enough but it can be done.
Here is a pic with the gear in a different configuration
The front of the Member's bag has a decent pocket big enough for a small laptop and a small pocket fine for filters and batteries. The Calumet case has a front flap with two large pockets I use for cards and gels.
