I would need reasonable AF for dimly lit music venues, I’ve got acceptable results from an XT-3 at ISO 10,000 in the past. I have plenty of time to compose but when I fire it needs to nail it.
Contrast Detect AF needs just that 'contrast'!! - The X-T3 has phase dectect AF and is likely to work much better.
BTW I would put the GFX50S AF speed about the same an an X-T1 so I would be very surprised if the 50S II matched the X-T3 especially with the X-T3 firmware AF update.
My step daughter does a lot of this type of photography, here current weapon of choice is a Canon R6 with 24-70 F2.8 amd 70-200F2.8 lenses, that the other thing against the GFX system for this type of work is that there is not a lot of fast glass, and certainly no fast zoom (meaning that the ISO is likely to be bumped further still)
