Ok got it! But is that not the point that amatures have different aims to those of professionals and why is one viewd as more legitimate than the others?

The thread was closed because it was in the wrong forum and on that thread i was pointed to this one. If you have nothing meaningfull to add to the debate then its probably better you don't waste your time posting.
I made plenty of meaningful comments to this debate initially.

There's no real need to drag this all up again. The other thread wasn't closed because it was in the wrong forum BTW, Paul made the reasons quite clear in his post.
