In terms of population and armed forces numbers Muslims make up a disproportionately small number of soldiers but they seem to make up a disproportionately high number of sex offenders. Why? That toxic book called the Quran.

Then lets compare it to other religions - oh I don't know - say America, heavily religious country yet 10,000 gun related murders every day, blacks mistreated by whites still.

It's not religion, that's an excuse. It's people, most people are good, respond to moral codes, a few are bad.

Which tells me you haven't read it. You should try it, it's just a version of the bible really. So the same way that some evangelists use the bible for their own gain, so do other religious leaders use the Quaran.

As I said - it's not religion thats to blame, just some people

Really. 10k per year is a more realistic figure than 10k per day. 10k per day would mean approx 1/10 of the population dying each year.

The perception is that many Muslims are reluctant to act or criticize the acts of isis, in a recent interview with the independent (so not the right wing dm) if mentioned that 33% of British Muslims support a caliphate based on sharia law. Now that doesn't make you a member of Isis but it's not the most fair of systems to the average westerners. Recently it was said that 27% sympathized with hebdo killers and that 10% supported the actions. Now again, that is certainly not "all Muslims are evil" but is still more than the "odd one or two bad eggs". Seriously, a few cartoons!!! I know that there was uproar by some when the life of Brian came out but I don't think there was any actions like that. But if there had been do you think 1 in 4 Christians would have sympathized or 1 in 10 supported killing? I doubt it. Sure, there would have probably been the odd maniac but we are talking points of 1%.

I suppose that's down to 2 things, firstly we don't get reports on that anywhere near as much (a bit like thinking USA have an awful gun problem but never hearing about South Africa which is far worse) and secondly risk to us.

In Rwanda it's a "local" thing and if any westerners are caught up its more likely to be bad luck, they don't appear to be targeting other countries or stirring up issues in the uk like choudrey etc... Same way that the Ira issue didn't affect anyone other than Brits and Irish.

Why don't you try living where Islam is a majority and see how well they tolerate other religions, homosexuality, equal rights for females and they're opposition to child abuse, bigamy and rape.

The 3rd part, after the New Testament ends is nothing like the bible and that's the defining part of the religion. It talks of beheading non believers, raping the women of non believers, acts of martyrdom and jihad (the struggle).

It even talks of veiled women which is where that oppressive practice of burkas comes from.

It's always been a toxic doctorine and over the last 1200years we've had to fight to keep it out of Europe. Looks like we need to obliterate it to keep us safe.

Which is what Putin is doing.

Chapter 47, Verse 4 “Therefore, when you meet the unbelievers, smite at their necks.” Hang on Steve could be right - if you take just that part, but the whole entry says, “At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind the captives firmly. Therefore is the time for either generosity or ransom.”

Whoops - sorry Steve. Can I suggest Mathew 7, verse 3 ?
 
as much as I am against racism in any form ,I'm afraid I have to agree with Stevens st4 point of view . It's all a mad jumble sale of religions and beliefs at the moment world wide but it does look like the Muslims are trying to establish a new world order ,it also looks increasingly likely that the Russian plane was brought down by a bomb smuggled into the cargo hold .
Just glad I,m at the tail end of my life cycle as i can't see a easy way out of all this without a lot of blood being spilt

I was thinking more Saudi. I'm not sure if you're married but best not to give/rent your wife a car to drive. She won't be able to go far.

Just one example of how Islamic culture is so backward. Best not denounce the great Mohammed as your head will be cut off.

New Zealand looks ok. Why, little to no Muslims. Little to no issues with aircraft falling out the sky, shootings, increase in rapes and sex crime.

Many occurrences that are reported in the UK out of Saudi and related places are Countries laws/beliefs, not religious.. Which is why the whole christian religion isn't blamed for female genital mutilation, but certain African countries are..

The religion is the legal system there. Why not pick Saudi, would Syria or Iran suit better. Oh wait a minute. The bulk of countries where Islam is the majority religion are, well, barely civilised.

Well, I've mentioned in the past that I have some issues with Saudi. (Really, do you want me to link to the West Wing video again?) So I'm not entirely sure I'm defending "it" - whatever "it" is.

Pretty much all organised religions (arguably any powerful organisation) will sooner or later have people doing dreadful things in its name. My point was that it was unfair to blame "muslims" for atrocious acts by a minority of extremists. I was also mentioning that "christians" are responsible for far worse atrocities. And since the UK is a Christian country it's just as logical to blame any random Englishman for the Rwandan genocide as it is to blame a random Muslim for ISIS.

But unfortunately I have solicitors to go shoot.
 
So every Syrian should now be treat as if they raped this women, got it, I'm adjusting my eyes as we speak.

Fathers, brothers and uncles make up a disproportionately high number of sex offenders in terms of their relationship to victims and this holds true for all faiths and skin colours. But we prefer to use "stranger danger" and blame the dark man to conceal truths that sit too close to home for most to feel comfortable about. Statistically, the most likely person to sexually assault your daughter is you - not a comfortable thought, is it? Better blame some "muslims" quick so you can feel better.

There's also this persistent discussion of "islam" and "muslim" as though it's all one and the same big, nasty bogey man religion. Much of the conflict in the middle east does not have its recent roots in muslim vs. christian enmities (although given the way that christians have persecuted muslims for centuries it wouldn't be surprising if it was), but of deep and divisive differences between the different stands of muslim faith. Many of these intra-muslim divisions have been exploited by the west for geopolitical ends and all sides have been played, trained and armed by the west, courted for oil and strategic resources in a continuation of the great game since the nineteenth century.
