Thanks MarshaI like it, the angle works well. Definitely on theme![]()
Cheers IainWhat Marsha said Peter![]()
Thanks AlbyAnother slant on the leave theme, excellent result![]()
Thanks MichaelYep, very good shot that and has worked very well.

Excellent thinking and macro shot. hmmm I can only see one shot for random, were there two? Anyway the subject is a nice take on the theme, but I don't like the area of focus sorry, it just makes my eyes go funny. So probably not a technical criticism, more one of personal taste, which means you can completely ignore it!!![]()
Great shot Peter, great dof, colours and lighting !!!Here's my entry for Random. I've worked in IT for many many years so Random Access Memory (RAM) immediately came to mind.
Thanks Sarah but computers aren't that boring. They help pay the bills if nothing else. You are getting more adventurous in your old age!!
I like this one and you have done well to take a pic of such a boring thing and make it look interesting!![]()
Thanks for the comments AndyHi, Peter...leave...hhmmm...not keen on this one. One theme, but can't get excited about it.
Random...now there's another story. Nice composition. Nice depth. Nice bokeh. The luminous green is great...it seems to be leaning right slightly
Cheers.
Thanks Allan. A lot of people use the crosses as counting the days down.nicely taken and nice focus could of been really boring but you made it look interesting
Leave also good what do the red crosses mean? scary
Cheers MarkLeave is great; simple, but effective, and perfectly shot.
Random I'll comment on when I've done mine![]()
The second one is on my Flickr but was too boringhmmm I can only see one shot for random, were there two? Anyway the subject is a nice take on the theme, but I don't like the area of focus sorry, it just makes my eyes go funny. So probably not a technical criticism, more one of personal taste, which means you can completely ignore it!!![]()
Thanks Alby. This was from my spare collection as well.I have a bag of those simms here just in case I ever need them......as if I will everExcellent thinking and macro shot.

Thanks for the kind words MarkI like random. Nice composition, DoF, point of focus and exposure. I like how the Bokeh expands as you get further back in a very ordered way; a nice contrast to the theme!
Thanks for the comments Nick'Leave' - Bang on theme and like the jaunty angle works well
'Random' - RAM brilliant concept !. i like your choice of focus at the front of the board and the diminishing focus. Very nice lighting and crisp white background.
Nick
Cheers NeilNice idea for random, well taken....I could do with some more of them in my computer!!!
Thanks DKGreat shot Peter, great dof, colours and lighting !!!
DAMN... there's my idea gone already, and I have only looked at 3 :bang:
Thanks Michael.Hi Peter, great shot and I like the dof used there, does it need a straighten?

Many thanks MarkNice shot Peter, with perfect DoF. An obvious subject, but when it's this well shot, it matters not one bit
I honestly can't find anything to criticise about it, so I won't!!
Thanks for the kind words DKHi Peter
Temperature - Have to agree with Mark, nothing to crit on it, a very sharp shot, nice composition with the half trunk and oof trees to the right
Cheers AlbyThermometer is right on theme for temperature.
Thanks Allan. We wait months for some bright sunshine and then find it's a nightmare exposure wise.nice dof but maybe a tad darker looks slightly over exposed got to say I never realised how hard it was to take pics in bright sunlight surprised me.
Thanks MichaelVery nice shot Peter, a nice bit of light falling on the thermometer.

Thanks Andy. Face on = Boring I'm afraid. I took all sorts of shots from differing angles most of which didn't work for me. I felt the angled approach allowed me to give a sense of depth with the inclusion of the background.Hi, Temperature....bang on theme and sharp, although sharpness seems to reduce towards the top. The top of the thermometer seems to be a tad over exposed on my laptop.
Main issue for me, though, is the composition. I keep getting drawn away to the BG. Wonder what a face on photograph would look like??
Cheers.
Thanks for the comments Marsha.Hi Peter. RAM, a very clever idea, I think the DOF works, if it was all in focus it would look like it should be in a catalogue, this looks more artistic!
Temperature, I agree with others, a nice composition, DOF and lighting. The twinkling blue between the trees adds depth![]()
I' can't quite decide if cropping a tad from the left would work
Cheers NeilHi Peter, what else can I say, nice shot and bang on theme.
Thanks for the feedback AlexHello
Sorry I've not stopped by for a while, getting back into the swing of it.
Leave - I like this, good idea and an even better calendar![]()
Random - fab shot, really like this one. Nice clean whiteness and excellent focus and DOF on the memory itself.
Temperature - I like it maybe a tad dark on this left hand side. But everything else is good. I like the angle of the shot, I would go with this I think over a face on one.
Thanks Lynne. I can see what you mean re: the cropHi Peter
another hardcore 52'er...well done you for still being here
Great simple shot for Temperature , like the DOF , angle & focus , the hints of blue sky add to the shot...good work misterI' can't quite decide if cropping a tad from the left would work

Thanks Summerlove it, especially the trees![]()
Thanks for the comments Nick.Welcome back Peter, I hope you've not had any withdrawal symptoms from missing the internet !
Temperature - Bang on theme, quite like the little bit of bokeh you have creeping in. The textures of the wood are nice to and the lighting looks natural.

7Hi Peter,
Abstract - I'm curious, why do you not think it worked? I think it's great! I love the colours and the simplicity of it. One of my favourites for this week.
Thanks GrampsTemperature and abstract both good examples, the lines and colours in 'abstract' are really eye-catching.
Thanks MichaelLike it, the colours catch your eye.
