weekly Delta Skies 2012 52 Week Challenge - Week 52 "Busy" added

Great theme interpretation and tight focus ... very tight focus, far end seems to have a bit of noise - random2 is a cleaner option ... but not so adventurous! :D

Thanks Gramps. I was quite pleased with this one as it is just how I envisaged it when I came up with the idea. Random 2 is fairly boring and turned out more like a product shot than anything.

You are getting more adventurous in your old age!!:)

I like this one and you have done well to take a pic of such a boring thing and make it look interesting!:)

Hi, Peter...leave...hhmmm...not keen on this one. One theme, but can't get excited about it.

Random...now there's another story. Nice composition. Nice depth. Nice bokeh. The luminous green is great...it seems to be leaning right slightly

Cheers.

nicely taken and nice focus could of been really boring but you made it look interesting
Leave also good what do the red crosses mean? scary

Leave is great; simple, but effective, and perfectly shot.

Random I'll comment on when I've done mine :)

hmmm I can only see one shot for random, were there two? Anyway the subject is a nice take on the theme, but I don't like the area of focus sorry, it just makes my eyes go funny. So probably not a technical criticism, more one of personal taste, which means you can completely ignore it!!

I have a bag of those simms here just in case I ever need them......as if I will ever  Excellent thinking and macro shot. ;)

Hi Summer, Peters other pic is on his flickr!:)

I like random. Nice composition, DoF, point of focus and exposure. I like how the Bokeh expands as you get further back in a very ordered way; a nice contrast to the theme!

'Leave' - Bang on theme and like the jaunty angle works well

'Random' - RAM brilliant concept !. i like your choice of focus at the front of the board and the diminishing focus. Very nice lighting and crisp white background.

Nick

Nice idea for random, well taken....I could do with some more of them in my computer!!!

Here's my entry for Random. I've worked in IT for many many years so Random Access Memory (RAM) immediately came to mind.
Great shot Peter, great dof, colours and lighting !!!

DAMN... there's my idea gone already, and I have only looked at 3 :bang:

Thanks Sarah but computers aren't that boring. They help pay the bills if nothing else.

Thanks Allan. A lot of people use the crosses as counting the days down.

The second one is on my Flickr but was too boring :)

Thanks Alby. This was from my spare collection as well. ;)

Great shot Peter, great dof, colours and lighting !!!

Thanks DK

Hi Peter, great shot and I like the dof used there, does it need a straighten?
Thanks Michael.

Nice shot Peter, with perfect DoF. An obvious subject, but when it's this well shot, it matters not one bit :)

I honestly can't find anything to criticise about it, so I won't!!

nice dof but maybe a tad darker looks slightly over exposed got to say I never realised how hard it was to take pics in bright sunlight surprised me.

Many thanks Mark

Hi Peter

Temperature - Have to agree with Mark, nothing to crit on it, a very sharp shot, nice composition with the half trunk and oof trees to the right
Thanks for the kind words DK

Thermometer is right on theme for temperature.
Cheers Alby

Thanks Allan. We wait months for some bright sunshine and then find it's a nightmare exposure wise.

Very nice shot Peter, a nice bit of light falling on the thermometer.
Thanks Michael

Hi, Temperature....bang on theme and sharp, although sharpness seems to reduce towards the top. The top of the thermometer seems to be a tad over exposed on my laptop.

Main issue for me, though, is the composition. I keep getting drawn away to the BG. Wonder what a face on photograph would look like??

Cheers.

Hi Peter. RAM, a very clever idea, I think the DOF works, if it was all in focus it would look like it should be in a catalogue, this looks more artistic!

Temperature, I agree with others, a nice composition, DOF and lighting. The twinkling blue between the trees adds depth:clap:

Thanks Andy. Face on = Boring I'm afraid. I took all sorts of shots from differing angles most of which didn't work for me. I felt the angled approach allowed me to give a sense of depth with the inclusion of the background.

Hello

Sorry I've not stopped by for a while, getting back into the swing of it.

Leave - I like this, good idea and an even better calendar :)

Random - fab shot, really like this one. Nice clean whiteness and excellent focus and DOF on the memory itself.

Temperature - I like it maybe a tad dark on this left hand side. But everything else is good. I like the angle of the shot, I would go with this I think over a face on one.

Hi Peter

another hardcore 52'er...well done you for still being here

Great simple shot for Temperature , like the DOF , angle & focus , the hints of blue sky add to the shot...good work mister  I' can't quite decide if cropping a tad from the left would work

love it, especially the trees

Welcome back Peter, I hope you've not had any withdrawal symptoms from missing the internet !

Temperature - Bang on theme, quite like the little bit of bokeh you have creeping in. The textures of the wood are nice to and the lighting looks natural.

Nick

Hi Peter, what else can I say, nice shot and bang on theme.
Cheers Neil

Hi Peter,

Abstract - I'm curious, why do you not think it worked? I think it's great! I love the colours and the simplicity of it. One of my favourites for this week.

Temperature and abstract both good examples, the lines and colours in 'abstract' are really eye-catching.

Thanks for your kind comments Nat. My original idea was taking something with the Lensbaby which didn't work - it takes a bit of getting used to.

Thanks Gramps

Like it, the colours catch your eye.
Thanks Michael
