They are incredibly destructive, both inside and out side.I have heard that they can cause a lot of damage, heard them causing damage in houses but didn't realise they damaged parks.
Because they have largely been displaced by the larger more aggressive greys and of course there is squirrel pox to contend with, the greys are carriers,but remain unaffected by it.I have never been lucky enough to see a red squirrel.
