Week 7 Heavy + Tech

Used the 'tech' on this weeks assignment because of the heavy rain and the heavy winds, with a heavy heart I decided my picture had to be an indoor one!
One piece of heavy cake...(not home made thank goodness)
 
Fits the briefs and works.
What's the cake filling - lead?
 
That's on themes and also it made me laugh.

The doyens of the WRI would be gnashing over their Victoria Rock Cake :)

That's a heavy piece of cake. I didn't know calories could weigh so much (outside of my body :D )
 
Week 8 Light

Light in a light weight world...I saw an opportunity here to define light in two ways, the chandeliers in this miniature scene giving off their rays of light but weighing very little.
 
Heavy - a minute on the lips, a tonne weight on the hips

Light - the chandelier light is well captured. Personally I see the image as stronger cropping from the left to the edge of the wall
 
I might not have realized that it was miniature if you hadn't told us in your description. Is this something that you built or something that you've gone to see?

Thank you for the comments, I have cropped the image so you can see the difference. This was my wife's project that was completed a few years ago, she has a bigger dolls house to do now.

What an amazing doll's house!! I think the crop works well. So much detail, your wife must have a lot of patience.

That sure is a very heavy cake :)
 
For me, I prefer the less cropped version. Diff'rent folks etc.
 
In preference I like the un-cropped image image best.
 
Week 9 Damp (Tech Reflection)

Early this morning, going to the garage saw what I thought suited this weeks theme, damp with reflection of the house in the window and reflection of the trees on top of the car.
 
You might think so, if you could only see the rest!

Maybe crop the background at the top out. Fits theme and tech.
 
Nicely polished !
A tighter crop at the top would avoid the distraction of background?
 
Waaaayyy cleaner than my car. Looks very damp and reflective :D

Boxes ticked.. had a few mornings like that here recently but your car is cleaner than mine - I'd be ashamed :)

I was very lucky to have a sunny day on Thursday and Kiki soaking up the sun, I stopped what I was doing to get the shot.
 
Cats do like sitting in windows. I have seen many like that, but not one this week.
