167/365 - Rae.

I did a photo shoot after work with my friend Rae, who is also a photographer. None of me coz she's far prettier!

167/365 - Plan B.......of the photo meet I arranged tonight. Terrible weather meant the evening sat in the pub, trying to explain depth of field with the Sigma 30mm f1.4 to a new photographer just starting out! Absolutely no technical merit whatsoever in this shot :shake: Picture as shot - I can't even be bothered to straighten it! Oh, and ISO 1600 too :bang: It's just been one of those days....

I like the 'twofer' today. I like the fact that they are different, but compliment each other

Always safer to leave the camera alone after too much wine

The DOF shot shows the effect very well - did it help explain the subject?

171/365 - Elsa playing. That's all I could manage today. I even went out tonight and climbed 300 steps to the top of St. Catherines Hill overlooking Winchester to get a sunset shot but a bloody big black cloud came over and that was that! :bang:.

173/365 - Memories.

I spent a lovely holiday last year in The Black House at Hegistbury Head, which you can see here. It's situated right on the end of a spit, inaccessible by cars and only accessible by pop-pop ferry from where this shot was taken. Ironically it is only half a mile from where I work (and was then), but is quite isolated! Shot at lunch today......ah, happy memories..... :D

175/365 - Sky on fire.

Well, what an eventful evening! I went sailing last night, crewing on a friends boat instead of sailing my own. It was very very windy and I ended up hitting my head on the mast and nearly knocking myself out! Next stop, after she sailed the boat back to shore on her own with me curled up wimpering, was A&E at Haslar Hospital where they put eight stitches in the massive gash on my forehead! So not much time for a shot - this was grabbed as I got in the car to be given a lift home! Didn't feel like uploading it last night.

Guess what tomorrows shot might be - anybody squeamish?

Like this shot - it could work well upside down as well :)

Hope the head is feeling better, and looking forward to the gory shot today :D

176/365 - Peek-a-boo!

I've been feeling really groggy today so didn't feel like doing much of a shot.

Here's the injury! (Shot on iPhone)

177/365 - The rule of threes.

A really busy and tiring day at work today. I've just got home and spotted these three flower things as I pulled onto the drive. Interesting colours!

Heck Dave that is one nasty bump you got there Mate, I heard you will do anything to get out of stock checking ;) Oh love the latest moggy shot

Ouch!!!

Still, lucky it caught you on the head where it couldn't do any real damage:D

Still following your 365 on Flikr - and still amazed that you are still posting (so don't let 1 missed day worry you)!

.........and still more amazed at the great shots you keep pulling out of the bag:clap::clap:

I like the colours in the cloud and flower pictures :)

I love the cat picture

and Ouch! Looks painful :(

179/365 - Well I've had a pretty crappy week and weekend and have been given this whole 365 thing a lot of thought about whether to carry on or not as I am just not happy with the lack of ideas and the standard of the shots I am producing.

I then looked back at day one where I said 'I need to push myself to develop my photography, particularly new ideas and techniques' so I have decided to carry on for a while and try and break out of this stale period.

So, here's to the next 186 days!

Dave I though you had hit your thumb there for one brief moment  Keep up the challenge mate as you have come too far to turn back now. ;) PS I could always pop round and blacked you other eye if you fancy a Panda shot for the 180 :D

Just catching up after my weeks holiday, like the Hegistbury Head shot (know it well ;) ) and the sky on fire!

Sorry to hear you are finding it tough going. I really hope you keep going, you really have been a great source of inspiration.

I bracing myself for some tough times ahead now (start my new job in the morning), so not sure how much time I will have (as I will be driving to Portsmouth each day, after nearly 2 years of working from home).

Thanks Alby, I think I'll pass on the offer though!

I'm feeling the same at the minute Dave. Though, I have felt like that about 5 or 6 times already!! Great to see you've decided to keep going.
Well I'm sure we all feel like this from time to time. You need to keep going too Jonny!

Thanks Julian, your shots have been a source of inspiration for me too (when I get time to look!). And good luck in your new job - just a shame it's in Portsmouth - Southampton's much nicer! ;)
