Dave's 365

I think we've all hit that mental block a few times in the last 6 months, but keeping posting here and getting the comments always helps.

I'm glad you've decided to keep going Dave..........I don't always comment but I do follow your progress (mostly on Flikr)

...........and at the risk of sounding trite, you are an inspiration :thumbs:

Thanks Chris, I've had it a few times in the past too, but not as bad as this one. I actually photographed a 'thumbs down' image as well as a 'thumbs up' - that's how unsure I was!

180/365 - Garden Slippers!

All my old knackered deck shoes eventually get relegated to the garden to be used as 'garden slippers'. These have been sat in the same spot for the last couple of months waiting.......

181/365 - Lunch!

Well I'm off work today as the doctor told me off for going to work as I have concussion :cuckoo: due to the bang on the head! So although not feeling great, managed this quick macro of a crab spider eating lunch!

Sorry I haven't commented for ages - just having a catch up!

Well done for carrying on with your 365 (bet you're glad it's not a leap year :D) - it's a fantastic achievement. The 52er's a struggle sometimes. :)

I'm loving your pictures - it's hard to single out any one - they're all excellent.:clap::clap:

Great capture today Dave, hope you feel better soon, get some rest.
Thanks Julian :)

182/365 - Just a daisy, with aphids!

Took a wonder down to the village today in my dazed and confused state :cuckoo: to get a bit of fresh air and snapped this on the way back. :)

Also took this and had a play with an effect I saw somewhere in Lightroom, but not sure about it

The lightroom 'effect' has done some funky stuff with the background, but the slightly desaturated look of the picture suits it :)

Thanks Chris, I think it's because the background is slightly OOF maybe? I like the bench but the tree on the left looks a bit er, weird!

Ew thats spider is EVIL!!!
Just catching up. I like the pic of Rae and the cat lying on its back. The floral images on the previous page are lovely too

183/365 - Harley

I went in for a quick meeting at work today and on the way home I popped into this Harley garage, you know, like you do...... :D

Not the shot I would have liked but I only had the 28mm AI-s with me.....

Not a biker myself, but like that shot, great angle - folks down to the fantastic wheel:thumbs:

Thanks Julian, would have been better with the 10-20 :) I'm not a biker myself either, but if I was I think I'd have a Harley!

There's a Harley shop near me.....:suspect:
Looking forward to seeing the shots then!

I asked first Marc. I normally find 99% of people are obliging if you ask politly first. I did want to get a portrait shot of one of the biker sales guys but he buggered off before I had a chance to ask him!

Thanks Lisa :) Not sure what those other bikes are - do some for your 365 to edumacate us!

Will have to try that, dont get round bikes like id like to these days :( would have got another of my bros ducati when away but it wasnt up at mums :bonk:

Like the leaf shot, i often think about this type of shot but never know the best way to pull it off. Agree its got a lovely colour and pattern.

Thanks Julian, your shots have been a source of inspiration for me too (when I get time to look!). And good luck in your new job - just a shame it's in Portsmouth - Southampton's much nicer! ;)

Oh yeah :bat:

;)

Dave, just catching up with your 365 mate, as I don't look every day.
Gotta say, and I said this to Stoney the other day, that your shots are fantastic. You have that special 'eye' (which I would love to have) and you can 'see' a great shot. (Your shots are the proof!!)

Not only do I admire you for your great work, I admire you even more for your commitment to your 365.
Glad to see your not giving in pal, it would be such a shame as we all love following and looking at your 365.

And you know how much I adore that snowy-foot print shot

Well done mate, keep up the good work.

Now, enough soppy crap, d'ya wanna fight you scummer..........

:D

Heck I though you were losing it for a moment there Andy.
Seriously Dave I wholeheartedly agree with Andy mate, quite an achievement Bud keep it up ;)
