Dave's 365

36/365 - The cat saves the day! (again). Lacking time and inspiration today, so this is Molly, the last of my cats. b****r, I've used them all up now!

Dave - I've been meaning to post on your 365 for some time - so here I am!

It's awesome. :) The diversity of shots is brilliant and all to a really high standard.

The film camera shot is outstanding among lots of other outstanding shots.

I go down to Barton sometimes to catch the view and it rarely fails to inspire me. Mudeford is also good in a variety of weather conditions.

You're doing a fantastic job :clap::clap::clap:

Jean

Hehe, next post, cat in a different location, such as in the snow:D

37/365 - Ocado! These were a freebie due to Ocado mucking up my delivery. Thought I'd have a relaxing evening playing with the lightbox and mucking around with my flashes. Set up: SB800 left -1ev bounced off ceiling, SB600 right -2ev aimed through side of lightbox to light side of van. No front flash. :)

Love it, great composition. Maybe I need a lightbox, what do you do make them yourself? I guess you need one or two external flashes right? Sorry I know nothing about this side of things :)

38/365 - I went down to this location to try and make a better effort of this shot but the horse had gone, so I ended up with the shot above. I haven't got the foggiest idea why these shelters have mood lighting, but it certainly adds to the effect!

Nicely exposed Dave but you could have got the local rif-raf to remove that lampost for you. ;)

Not sure I've seen a "moonburst" before, what lens did you use?
The shelter looks well cool with the purple glow, like you gelled up a flash to get the effect!

re 39; brilliant sky!

There was a nice sunrise here but I couldn't be bothered to get out of bed.. :(

Up early at the weekend Dave, that's dedication for you. Super sunrise and I trust when you got home you had a full english waiting for you? ;)

Thanks Alby, but the dedication wasn't there - it was taken from my study window! Did have a full English though :D

Thanks Tim :)

I've just surfaced.
Shame I missed that sunrise, the beer got me lol.

39/365 - I couldn't resist the sunrise this morning :)

Belting image - i often look out of the window, bleary eyed, and think about going getting a shot of a sunrise, but then i think 'sod-it' and get back in my bed!

#38 and #39 - Two excellent pics mate

I thought I recognised the location for #38 but it looks a lot more photogenic than when I was last there!

Don't be surprised the horse wasn't still there it was probably only a temporary "tethering" whilst the oven heated up!!!!!

Keep 'em coming.

40/365 - Another of my son's Warhammer models - this one's called a Tyranid Winged Hive Tyrant....apparently!! ;)

Shot with SB800 bounced off ceiling, SB600 off wall behind +2/3EV, and camera flash providing a bit of fill +1/3EV

Recognise that part of Lyndhurst :) Had many a walk around there. Just across the road is the Meridien garage (Maserati, Ferrari, etc), be a good shot there for another day

Nice shot!

Very nice Dave. Take it all the snow has gone from where you are (If you had any).
Thanks Marc. Yes, snow all gone - we only had it for a couple of days. Loads of rain though :(

Thanks Julian. Yes, I've got the Meridian Garage on my list to do!

Lovely view of Lyndhusrt, Dave, and an eye-catching composition.

I must stop thinking of Lyndhusrt as the compulsory car park between me and the M27  For those who don't know it, Lyndhurst is a beautiful village and the 'capital' of the New Forest but choked with traffic. :(

Thanks Jean :). yes, Lyndhurst can be like that at times. I normally cut through Emery Down.

42/365 - Textures. Having a bit of a photographer's block at the moment :bang:. It's really frustrating. Anyway, saw a bowl of Pot 'Thinghy' on the side and found this shot sort of interesting.
