30/365 - Opposites. I was out and about at Barton-on-Sea at lunchtime and spotted these keyhole covers on a couple of the beach huts - thought they made an interesting pair of shots.

31/365 - Humble Beginnings. This shot actually took me two hours messing about with lighting in my home made lightbox to get it how I wanted it. The camera was picked up in a local charity shop, fully working like new for £2! :)

Like that shot Dave. I've often heard of camera bargains being had in charity shops but I've never seen any and we have a plethera od charity shops where I live.

:agree: I'm sure I should check them more than once every 6 months though

Nice shot today :)

I've never shot film,
really starting to think I'm missing out.

You're certainly coming up with a diverse range of subjects and ideas mate!

Don't think there has been a duff one yet. Keep going:clap::clap:

The camera/film still life is brilliant - you have got the lighting/composition spot on.

I go down and have a look every now and again - usually you have to ask as they don't display them. I went in to one shop and was shown a box with about 30 or so cameras in!

Cheers Phil. :)

Yeah you should try it - it's different. You find you take more time over the shot when using film coz every shot is costing you money! Bet you can't take a shot and NOT look at the back of the camera!

Yes I do use it from time to time. I have a couple of old film cameras. This one I keep in the glove box in the car. :)

32/365 - I was stuck for something to shoot today so I went out for a drive on the way to see a friend and came across these colourful windows. This is some sort of old navy building near the Explosion! museum in Gosport. I really like the colour combinations :D

33/365 - Off into the snow I go....well not quite actually. I didn't go to work today as I have a 35 mile drive through the New Forest. I got about a third of the way and turned back - there were broken cars everywhere! :|

I like the shot from day 32 - would look nice printed A3 and framed.

The footprint shot is clever too - nice and 'crisp'

I think photo's like this are great, I never 'see' them :(

I agree just haven't got the eye to spot them I suppose

Really like yesterdays very "cool" shot sorry couldn't resist , brave to not too sure I would like mt camera so close to the snow.

Thanks Sean...I guess I am lucky, but we always take the things we have so much for granted don't we?

Nice one! Great B & W conversion as well.

:clap::clap:
Thanks Keith :)

I am really very jealous of where you work! :D
Yeah, I will miss it here if I ever get re-located

Great shot Dave. Its funny it is a very common sight for me and yet I have never thought of it as an interesting view. I suppose it what you get used to. I am going to have to open my eyes and start shooting more, just because I see it most days doesn't mean of isn't interesting. I thank you for firing up my enthusiasum again. I look toward to following your 365 from now on.

Thanks Dave, that's a really nice thing to say. We'll have to arrange to meet up for a cuppa one lunchtime :)

Only just catching up with this Dave, and still really enjoying following your 365.:)

I did wonder how you took your snow "footprint" shot, and it was good to hear how you did it - the Gorillapod sounds ideal!:D

Personally, I think your shot of the Olympus camera and the 35mm film is just awesome! I understand how long it can take to get this kind of shot "just" how you want it, and you've produced a very professional result there imo. It works really well on the black background, and the reflection is superb! Was there much photoshop work involved, or did you achieve the look you wanted mostly in camera?

Looking forward to seeing more, keep it up!

Thanks for the kind comment

I got it mostly how I wanted it in camera, but did have to adjust levels a bit and use the dodge and burn tools in Photoshop - not very well I might add as I can see the bits I missed on the laptop (note to self - get monitor on PC calibrated !).

35/365 - Well, my first sort of paid job tonight. A friend of mine runs a beauty business from home and wanted some promotional shots for her website. Payment? A freeby massage! :D

This is called "threading" - the ancient art of removing facial hair with cotton. Hmmm....wonder if it works on blokes  - would save me having to shave for a few days!

(Posted in a rush - still need to PP this one)
