But that's what I don't understand, and why I used my smoking example. Now, I don't know whether you smoke or not, but I know people who smoke 10 to 20 a day, but still won't climb anything that's high, even if it's safe. But then human fears (mine included) are rarely rational, and are often more to do with what we've grown up being used to rather than what's actually more dangerous. I'd rather fall to my death than die of lung cancer.
