Yes
Just in case anything is thinking of getting one of these from a lower D series I thought I would post my review on it.

I have had it now for about 3 weeks and upgraded from a d50 which I had for about 3 years. Putting the obvious cost difference to one side, my overall conclusion that the d90 is a very big step up from the d50.

There are loads more buttons which do bracketing and can be assigned functions. The lcd is gorgeous and you get a much better impression of what you are shooting.

The video feature which I thought would be a waste of time is actually really handy, especially with children as I can simply switch to video if they start doing something funny. Yes it will not autofocus if the subject keeps moving around but you can manually focus. Better to have some not so good footage than no footage at all.

I am still a long way from getting the best out of the camera and there are lots of features and tweaks I probably have no idea about. I could not even figure out how to change the way the camera focused. The manual is not very good.

So overall an excellent but expensive buy.

I just went and played with a d300s and I can use how useful it is having buttons to get to the ISO, WB etc. Sigh maybe one day.

Hi Sam,

You can switch the ISO and WB easily on the D90. The buttons on the left of the screen double up... hold one down and spin the command wheel to change the value (assuming you're in a mode that allows adjustment).

Yeah I haven't had my D90 long but totally agree is a cracking camera. Love the way you can alter settings by spinning a wheel... brilliant

I hate to chime in with all this backslapping but yeah, it really is great isn't it. Two weeks in and loving it. Sam, there is a really good dvd guide that I bought off of fleabay. It's the D90 guide by 'Magic Lantern' and I've found it great for referencing stuff like the ISO and WB controls. I don't get on well with user manuals and the guide cuts straight to the user controls.

got mine 2 years back and still finding little tweaks. do investigate my menu it sreally good for the bits you alter frequently. Now learning the D300s!

IQ from the D90 is excellent, for me I dont need 16mp or 1 stop better ISO from the D7000 (although I am sure that is a great camera too)'

The Link Delight grip for the D90 is excellent if you want a grip

can do that on the d50 as well :)

Select Easy-ISO in the menus and then you can adjust ISO via the rear wheel without having to press a button at the same time!

Aye - forgot about that... I have this turned off because I have found it too easy to do by mistake :bang:

- how exactly do you do this?

If it all sounds a bit vague its because I dont have the camera on me at the moment but a step by step guide would be great

thanks

Hmm, you hold the button down and spin the wheel?

Pretty self explanatory really.
