I've had my D300 about 6 months, and love it to bits, but I've always been a bit concerned about the amount of noise in my photos. People tell me that I'm looking too closely at the pixels, but I'm not convinced, and I see noise in all my photos, including well-exposed ISO200 images (albeit not immediately obvious).
So i've been corresponding with nikon about it. They say that the noise is within accptable range, but if I'm bothered I should send it to them for testing, with a 2-4 week turnaround! That sounds like a long shot.
The problem is, I've got nothing to compare my photos to. D300 photos on the web have had some sort of processing done to them, so it's difficult to say what's normal. Here's a screenshot of a 100% crop of a photo I took at ISO400, loaded into Nikon Capture NX with no adjustments made.

I could do with some well-exposed RAW images (say shot at between ISO200 and ISO1600) I could compare with my own images for noise. Can anyone oblige, please?
