The TP 52 - 2025 Cuthbert's 52 for 2025

Fab set and yes - the chosen works well :)

Some amazing shots once again. The statue is wonderful. I'd have been tempted to remove everything except the empty wheelchair facing the statue.

Nice set

'Painted' would get my vote - but in mono!

The one you chose is definitely the strongest of the set - have the courage of your convictions !

I love the shot and think its the strongest of the set, but I think 'painted' is probably more on theme.

I sort of feel like the subject is light, rather than shadow. That said, you can't have shadows without light, so...

Thank you everyone!

I was actually most torn between the shot I picked and 'Wilted'. The shadows are more subtle, but the image is more curious. The church this was taken in I found by accident on a explore walk, and it was quite curious - the notice board showed it only had a service once a month, had many vases of completely dead flowers around, and then, a few that were alive. It also had a load of church newspapers from a year ago on a little table. Quite surreal, very much a Mary Celeste feel.

Three excellent, powerful shots Mark. I am partial to the simple graphic nature of the third one.

Thank you again everyone for your lovely words. The problem with weather related pics is not only you got to be in the right place at the right time, the weather has actually got to play ball as well, so only one pic this week:

Nice darkly shot Mark!

Thank you everyone! I was a bit stuck for the after the rain pic last week because the weather just didn't work out - in the end, that shot was done in my back garden, with a water spray bottle and I lit it with the modelling lamp from my speed light, just to give the droplets a lick as it was so dull outside.

This week, just one shot

Niiiice :)

Just a couple from this week - and quite a difficult subject matter - ended up going with this - a shot of a ceiling found in one of the rooms at Wimpole Hall, which was quite a fascinating building.

The close second pic, was this light that caught my eye - which I liked the banality of in a kind of boring and curious way at the same time.

Yep - Wimpole ceiling is a nice one :)

Two good shots Mark, I would have been really challenged to choose one.

Great set Mark. The colours on your chosen shot are really great. I also like the symmetry and juxtaposition of the last shot...big/small, in light/in shadow, graffiti/printed letters...
