i am planning on getting a nice dell laptop as a christmas prezzie and i have a "illegal" copy of photoshop cs3, but im fed up of feeling like an illegal immigrant (best figure of speech i could come up with) so is it worth also wallking out the shop with a copy of elements in my bag too.
i dont do hardcore 3d graphics design, i do what most of you lot probably do and have basics such as cloning, levels, layer adjustments etc. i would normally be using gimp but becuas emy uncle can get copies that what i end up with however i will never use all the functions of cs3 but will i miss out on them and feel limited in elements 8?
what do you think, i also hear that getting geniune means you can save a fortune of the next upgrade etc. one of the main problems i might encounter is the specifications of cs3 that might put me off and get elements. the laptop i am getting has these specs;
pentium dual core 2.16ghz processor
4gb memory
500gb hard drive
any help will be gratefully appreciated.
