Creating a transparent box in CS3

I'm probably missing something blimmin' obvious but I want to draw a box in CS3, but I want to just have the outline so that I can use it to frame something within a picture. When I use the rectangle tool, it's filled in and I can seem to work out how to change it.

Hope that made sense.

Fabs if you click the rectangle tool you should then have an option at the top of the screen for 'style'. Click on that for a drop down box and in there you should see a square with no fill. Select tht and draw your shape. That should give you a box with no fill.

I am using CS4 but I am presuming that part works the same with CS3 so good luck.

Sometimes you just can't see for looking. It's something I have never needed to do which is probably why I found it

Someone will no doubt be along soon with a more difinitive answer, and I don't have PS open In front of me.
But, would it not involve the opacity slider.?


Draw box,

fill with colour(any colour)

set opacity to 0%

I might be over simplifying it, but it's just off the top of my head.
