Creating a transparent box in CS3

Fabs if you click the rectangle tool you should then have an option at the top of the screen for 'style'. Click on that for a drop down box and in there you should see a square with no fill. Select tht and draw your shape. That should give you a box with no fill.

I am using CS4 but I am presuming that part works the same with CS3 so good luck.

Sometimes you just can't see for looking. It's something I have never needed to do which is probably why I found it :)

Hope it's useful

Someone will no doubt be along soon with a more difinitive answer, and I don't have PS open In front of me.
But, would it not involve the opacity slider.?

Draw box,

fill with colour(any colour)

set opacity to 0%

I might be over simplifying it, but it's just off the top of my head.

Unfortunately you then lose the whole box
