On a development of 6 houses (all unsold for the past year!!) I am puzzled as to why the block paving entrances to the front doors are ramped in such a way, why not a simple slope up to the front doors without the slopes to the sides.
If I were to make a guess I would think the ramps have something to do with wheelchair access, if that were the reason why then not a simple slope up to the front doors without the dangerous slopes to the sides.
Could it be they have the damp proof course too low on the side walls to accommodate a simple ramp front to back.
As they are I think they look ridiculous and will be extremely dangerous in the winter.
