Thinking of buying a Domke bag there
Do you have a particular reason for wanting to buy from them?
A.

any thoughts?

My only experience with them was a few months ago when I ordered a telescope eyepiece. After a week of waiting for next day delivery they finally told me they had no stock and offered a refund. I don't think they would sell fake goods, they are probably grey imports.

It seems to be greed that keeps dodgy companies like this going. Everyone likes a bargain but it amazes me when people think they can buy for example a lens for £500 less than anyone else sells it.
Who actually runs these places is hard to say- real criminals with a mix of real and false sales or are they incompetent muppets- the sort of characters who get voted off the Apprentice in week 1
If after 65 pages of predominantly negative comments you're still thinking of the money you think you'll save then you should just go for it but avoid posting when you lose your money.
but they must be doing something right if they are still in business, musn't they?
This thread is a prime example of what keeps conmen in business.
I'm asking a sensible question

I'm sorry but it didn't seem like a sensible question.
I'm asking a sensible question, so far no-one has replied in the affirmative.

...it just irks me somewhat that the bag I'm after costs $130 in the US but £165 here...
, some nice scenic mountains, world class golfing/ mountain biking- just need a bit more sun and of course the kit is pretty dear- deja vu
WTF
"some lady phoned me to go over every little detail of my purchase including the card details"
You DIDN'T hang up ???
The OP said "I've read thru the 65 pages on AVF"
there's also a Closed Thread there with 696 posts on 47 pages
maybe worth a read too ?

i had ordered through the website and she went through the exact details i had put on the order form with her telling ME the card details not the other way about...
i think it was because my delivery address was different to the address the card is registered at, (i've had problems with this before) i get all my deliveries sent to my work as there is no-one in the house during the day and i hate trying to find time to go to the DHL or others office to collect my things.
it all worked out in the end and it was a positive experience with CRAZY CAMERAS which is what the OP was asking for
i will deal with them again![]()
Good to hear a positive story at last - thanks Les!![]()
