The TP52 - 2026 Cptnm's 52 for 2026 - Week 13 - The Night Sky

I really like the soft wintery colour palette, and the fact that it makes me question what the whole building would look like.

Lovely scene Megan

Great spot ;)

Nicely done Megan :)

That's excellent rust and decay! Lovely colours and texture

I like that a lot!

Thank you all! Macro is definitely something I'd like to do more of this year... but not this week!

Week 3 - Doors & Windows

03 Doors & Windows by M R, on Flickr

Nicely framed by the street lights and the Juliet balcony lit by the council :)

That works really well! You couldn't improve on that colour balance difference better if you tried.

Interesting and effective contrast between the cold light of the shop front and the warm light from the (presumably) apartments above.
Was the choice of f/13 and 12800 ISO deliberate to enduce the starburst effect on the streetlights? It certainly looks clean enough from a noise perspective to let you get away with that high an ISO.
I may have been tempted to straighten the image to remove the perspective (although that is pretty true to life)

That is a strong image, although i might have tried cropping out the other shop on the right

Thank you all! I really like the contrasting lighting, I always thought it was flats above but only realised the branding on the windows upstairs when I took the pic so now I'm unsure
Just about got away with the ISO I agree, and had considered a crop of Boots + the shop on the left but didn't want to crop out the lights above (and now thinking that they could've easily been darkened to not be so distracting! Didn't even consider it at the time, oops)

Nice one Megan, I particularly like the contrasting colours of the lower and upper stories.

As others have said, a good contrast between the ground floor and the higher floors. Ticks all the boxes for me!

Who got the big piece?
