When I try to explain simple business economics they still won't have it.

Some aliens made a deal with The Chinese over a skype conference to poison the world. The Chinese government sent some bat soup to their planet via a DHL courier ship
Trouble is , they should have set off four light years earlier but they had to wait in for the courier who said he's arrive sometime between 2018 and next world cup.

The Space ship was piloted by the alien mother of a former Labour Councillor for Whitby called Simon Parks (you can google that story from 2012) but sadly the sat nav packed up as the ship was a gift from China, and ended up landing in Wuhan at the wet markets.
The 9ft green slimy aliens walked about the markets freely as they weren't even the most unusual thing there and were mistake for a local delicacy so they soon moved on to their real destination.

The Bat Ship soup sprinkler system was faulty (I know the ship was made in China) as they were supposed to spray the White House, but got off course and ended up over Italy.

As news spread back to China the spaceship engineer Yu So Dim was tortured by Barry Scott with copious amounts of
Cillit Bang was then disappeared .

Prince Charles didn't have the virus he just wanted a break from riding Camilla as her appetite for robust sex is proving to be a drainer for the normally active pensioner.

Boris hasn't had it either he was in Acapulco learning to cliff dive covered in spray tan and an Elvis wig.

On second thoughts having been born in Newcastle and lived for my first 18 years a few miles from Gateshead perhaps it is not such a strange idea.:)

Ooh I do love a good Conspiracy Theory™. When it comes to stuff like 9-11, Diana, etc, I prefer to use my own judgement of what facts are available, than listening to one side or another. I certainly don't trust governments; they've historically been proven to lie to the people. So I'll continue to keep an open mind. I think those who scoff at 'conspiracy theorists', yet just blindly accept what they are told, are just as delusional and ignorant/stupid as some of those whom they attack.

A mate of mine has taken to watching all sorts of fruit loop CT videos on YT. Including David Icke (who, incidentally, used to be a goalkeeper for Coventry City. No it's true). And assorted other s***e. A lot of it contains less than complimentary reference to Jews. Surprise surprise. He was actually saying to me 'but look at how many Jews are in positions of power'. This is an intelligent 52 year old man. I tried to explain why Jewish people do hold so many senior positions/are prominent in certain fields/professions (because of mostly enforced migration and the need for education being a key part of Jewish culture, plus the inability to own property or land meant many Jews looked for other ways to possess wealth, such as in finance etc). I tried to explain the history of Jewish performance, music, art etc, plus the various crafts and trades, but he's set his mind on this big 'Zionist conspiracy' thing. FFs. But what it did do, was make me look deeper into why so many people believe in such s***, and to look at how Jewish people came to be so good at so many things; from medicine, to philosophy, to art, to music, to cabinet making, to cab driving! Utterly fascinating. I'm also watching some iPlayer progs on how Islam came into influence science. It does amuse me, that our own right wing nutjobs who scream about how Muslamic Ray Guns™ will take over the world and enslave us all, do so by using computers, which use algorithms...

CV19 was invented to try to prevent Liverpool FC winning their 1st top flight title in 30 years though. True fact.

Two things I find confusing about conspiracy theorists are

(a) they hear explanations from experts in the particular field but choose to accept explanations from some unknown person on Facebook etc., and

(b) when presented with a conspiracy theory, eg that the COVID19 vaccine contains a chip so the powers that be can track us, they never ask, "What is the evidence for this?"

However, as conspiracy theories are based on faith, perhaps I shouldn't be surprised and therefore no logical argument will change their position.

There is a conspiracy theorist on a car forum I belong to. He is convinced that Covid is no worse than the flu and that having to wear a mask is a scam. There are a few people on our local Facebook group that think the masks are just a scam.
I couldn't figure what the scam could be, so I asked. Apparently it takes too long to explain. :) :)

I heard a new term yesterday - "Influencer", which apparently refers to people who regularly post "informative" Youtube videos. There is some interesting stuff on Youtube, but there are a lot of glue sniffing, crazed cranks as well.

There always were, as anyone who's worked in newspapers or magazines can tell you. The difference was that editorial staff had a special filing system for the ramblings of such contributors in the pre-internet days. It sat beside their desks and was often round. :naughty:

They aren't necessarily conspiracy theorists. Alot just use social media to promote themselves using a product in some way, depending how they promote themselves, their followers increase and companies sponsor them with money or products.
It isn't all bad or self centred. There is one called Ladbaby, it is a man, his wife, and two young sons, most of their facebook or Instagram videos are the parents playing tricks on each other rather than self promotion, but the father has a thing for sausage rolls. He usually mentions Greg's Sausage rolls, so I don't know if they have got anything from them, but Walkers Crisps did come up with sausage roll flavour crisps last year because of them. Also they have recorded cover versions of singles for the past 3 yrs with the titles and words changed to incorporate sausage rolls. They have had the UK Christmas No.1 single for the past 3 years now and all the money has gone to a charity that runs food banks around the country.
As I said, they're not all bad.

China deliberately started Covid.

China bought up PPE and medical equipment around the world to supply its emergency hospitals, built in record time.

Chinese doctors and scientists related in some way to the early onset of covid outbreak have died or disappeared.

China is a major source of super conductors (microchips) required by bluetooth, driver assistance and plug in hybrid systems in cars. Many major car manufacturers around the world have already ceased car production or have plans to do so in the near future until supply can be maintained. Wafers for the super conductors have up to 30 weeks lead time for production.

China bought up a $Billion worth of super conductors.

Is China taking over the world?

That would not make any sense.
Apple, Samsung and others have started to pull production from China and moving to the likes of Vietnam.
The Japanese government have alocated $2 billion to help their electronics industry move production away from China.
Some of this has happened because the USA - China trade deal but from what I have read, Covid-19 has played a big part of their decisions.
So if China deliberately started Covid - 19, they've shot themselves in the foot and will loose billions in manufacturing trade.

I'm not sure if you are being serious about Bill Gates as you've not used any smilies but hey ho.
Having a quick look it seems that chip manufacturers are not totally relying on China for chip production.
I would imagine those moving out of china for product production will do the same with chips.
 
I'm not even a fan of fries so nanochips are a definite non-starter for me.

Yes, but Gates can't move production that easily. The only known deposits of the unstable Dark Matter required by the Reptilian technology are beneath the Tibetan Plateau. And any large scale changes at this point risk bringing the Plan to the attention of the Illuminati, who are still furious with Gates after Microsoft dropped Windows 7 support for their Black Helicopters. I'm not so sure.

Many products can be assembled anywhere from a mix of off the shelf components and others made using unique mounds or cut to shape etc. Setting it all up from incoming stock through assembly and test can be pretty cheap and low tech but chip fabs are perhaps a different matter.
 
There was a program on last week or so, about the JFK assasination. It was all about who believed what.
A survey had been done and people were asked various questions about know facts and less know things and general nonsense.
The results were presented showing percentages. It was fairly interesting in that while the majority didnt think Oswald could fire that quickly, most of them had no clue about his record in the military and he was a good shot.

Anyway what the survey did find was that the people on lower wages or those who didnt have further education or dropped out of school tended to be the majority that believed the more extreme theories.


I worked for 15yrs in the pharmacutical industry (making medication) I pointed this out to a FB chip in every vaccine idiot the other day, explaining just how much work and how many people it would take to put a chip in every vaccine and record it against the person injected with each chip, their answer was "see it can be done". They are probably quoting me on other posts now saying someone in the industry told them how its done!!!

It looks like the likes of Samsung have been preparing for quite a while to move chip production to South Korea and some other companies have or are moving production to Taiwan.
It also seems like 75% of Intel chips are produced in America.
I'm not sure if the likes of Intel are doing it due to the America - Chinese trade deal or Covid.

Conspiracy theories range from complete nonsense to being possible.
Sadly most people I know who believe in conspiracy theories also believe in the ridiculous ones as well.
