just ordered mine,
fingers crossed.
has your sales gone up much since distributing these flyers? oh and ive just received my sample pack from 1 2 print and i got a free packet of haribos![]()
Did any of you upload using the PDF method?
I'm going to re-order mine as the picture on the back was upside down!
I just sent in 2 JPEGS. I must have done something wrong?
Arrived to day, very happy. Binned about 6 which had a bit of damage, but they supplied 5489 so sill up on the deal! Don't know how they can do them for the money!
Received my 5000 flyers this afternoon. Only checked 1/3 of them so far but so far so good. 12 thrown.
I am pleased with them, but they have been printed in a much darker tone of blue than I sent them. I sent them a bright Royal Blue, and they have printed a navy (almost purple) blue colour, but they still look good so im not complaining.
Some potentially useful info for anyone thinking of ordering these.
With regards to the above mentioned colour difference, I indicated this to them when they asked me for feedback. Within an hour or so I had a very informative e mail explaining that my Jpegs were sent with RGB colour settings, which they have to convert to CMYK. Thats where my colour was lost and it is because I used elements which doesnt support CMYK. If you use CS3 or above then apparently it is not such an issue.
They also indicated that if I order again, then I should contact them before uploading my files, and they will take the time to manually convert my RGB file to avoid any colour loss.
Pretty good customer service as far as im concerned !!
I now have a box of 5000 of these flyers on my office. They are TP ones...which we had hoped to get for Focus on Sunday, but anyway they look really good! Followed their instructions about making them in CMYK and embedding their ICC profile and all that shizzle and they have come back spot on
The only downside is that text isn't very crisp, if you look very closely the edge of the text is very rough, but I think this might be down to me.
Can you show us a sample of your flyer please, very interested in this offer.
I know, please dont get me wrong. 300 or 354 dpi are always fine for printing images and text, but you can increase the quality of your text with 600 dpi.
If you use InDesign or Illustrator 354 (or 300) dpi are fine as this setting will only affect the images. All other elements (text, shapes...) are saved as outlines or embedded fonts. But if you save your Photoshop file as a JPEG or TIFF all text will be automatically converted to a pixel image. With a 300 or 354 dpi pixel image it can appear that very light shades around your letters appear. With 600 dpi this normally doesn't happen. Save your PSD file as a 300 dpi JPEG and a 600 dpi JPEG. If you then zoom (400-600%) you can see the difference.

finally ordered my flyers.
so we will see come next thurs!!
for some reason... im really crap when using photoshop to design things.. im much better in fireworks.. can i just not use fireworks to design the leaflets?
Im not sure on this mate. The templates I remember seeing were for photoshop, Indesign or Illustrator.
My advice would be to e mail them, they respond quickly and they are very helpful !!
