Compact Flash or SD

Hi!
I'm having to replace my brilliant old D70s as its compact flash reader has broken. I'm in the market for a second hand D80 or D200 which are both in the price range I can afford at the moment, but I'm wary of the D200 as it uses CF and not SD.

Am I just being paranoid because of the problems with my D70s? I know that CF cards are more physically robust than SD cards, and I don't believe, after careful inspection, I ever damaged the pins in my old camera. I just see a lot of people reporting the same reader problem that I had, and I'm wary of shelling out for the slightly more expensive D200 only to come across the same issue. I should point out that as a real amateur, I'm not worried about in the difference in the potential write speed, although other features of the D200, especially how robustly its built are appealing.

Any thoughts, really welcomed!

Thanks

I've heard many people say that CF is more robust than SD, but I see no reason for that to be true. The CF card has more contacts and pins that can bend. To my mind, SD is more robust but I have no evidence to support either theory.

The perception that it is more robust is probably down to it feeling more robust in the hand!

Saying that, once my CF card is in the camera it never comes out so robustness it not exactly a problem for card or the camera connectors.

Really? I've had several SD cards literally fall apart on me because of the thin plastic thats used, id imagine its pretty hard to bend the pins it the camera as they are so deep inside the card should be lined up by the time it gets to them. For me the the extra size (which make it that bit harder to misplace them) and the solidness of CF makes it a no brainer for me.

Thanks for the thoughts guys - I agree that the CF cards feel more robust than SD but has anyone had an experience of problems with the readers themselves?
cheers
