Hi all,
Heading off to Thailand on holiday at the end of the year (woo hoo
) and have decided that I am not going to lug the DSLR around. So, I am in the market for a compact. I do not want to go down the CSC route as that would be too much of a duplication of the DSLR functionality and a bit pricey.
So I have narrowed things down a bit but now the dilemma
I dont know whether to go for one of the waterproof offerings like the Lumix DMC-FT3 which would give me a small, light camera to take on the beach, go snorkelling with and not worry about but, as far as I know, will not give me RAW capability or a fast lens. The alternative is something like the Nikon P7100, the Lumix DMC LX7 and their ilk and a dry bag type case like the ones from Over-Board or DiCAPac.
Anyone used any of these cases and which, if any, are any good?
I know I have a few months to make up my mind but I am really torn and just cannot decide which route to go down.
Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers
