Please bear with me on this......it might take a bit of explaining
Sunday I posted a photo here http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/threads/light-trails-reflection-and-a-radio-mast.516680/ and jamiewednesday kindly offered to clone out some distracting lights on the right side of the picture, which I was quite happy about.
When he reposted his edited version the sky looked totally different, nothing like as yellow/orange
. I commented on this and to my surprise and confusion no one else could see a difference. Apparently both photos looked the same.
So, to try prove a little sanity on my part, I took a photo of my laptop screen (I know not the best, but it was all I could think of)..... this is what it showed

You can clearly see the sky in mines a yellow/orange colour, in the copy jamie did it isn't
.
This morning I've been looking at the few photos I have on flickr on another lap top, to my surprise none of the photos look like they do on my laptop :bang:
It appears colours look a lot brighter with more colour on my laptop, so when I'm editing I'm not getting the same finished version as everyone else sees
So.......to the question, what can I do to correct this, if anything, bearing in mind its only a cheap laptop to start off with, thanks
P.S if this should have been posted here http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/computers-websites-and-other-technology.60/ could a staff member please move it
