i was a stopping power user and i think thats what makes it seem like the bullets dont have as much power, treyarch are saying the algorithm is the same and that its the lack of sp that makes it seem weaker. when i play cod4 without stopping power i get the same impression

Firing and aiming slow? I dont find this, firing and aiming are pretty much as instant as it always has been!

What platform are you playing on?

You think so??? I find a single well placed bullet is enough to take someone down! My first reaction to the MP was "blimey, it doesnt take many bullets to kill someone!" as I had been playing BF2 for the last 12 months after getting peed off with the glitchers on MW2!

Loving this game, and I really dont understand the WaW / Treyach haters, I really enjoyed both the SP and MP aspects of WaW, and I LOVED the SP story mode on COD 3, one of the best SP ones IMO (and yes I have all the COD games). I just really hope the glitchers don't return, and the developers havnt left any holes for them to exploit. If so, and as amazing as COD BO is I'll be back on BF2. Cant stand glitchers, they ruined MW2 for me...

Ok now having played it for a total of 24hrs since purchase .... It kicks ass.
Aiming issue resolved, footstep sounds resolved, now I'm back on form and easily hitting 30 kills with only a handful of deaths.

Who wants to join an xbox party?
 
Footsteps are tweaked but not resolved in my opinion, they are still too quiet, even on ninja pro.

However I have found the barebones team deathmatch and that is the best thing on there, none of your ridiculous gun attachments and stupid kill streaks. It is awesome.

I'm ******ed off with it royally. It's no Modern warfare 1 or 2 and the maps are pants. Lag is unreal on the Xbox at times and the number of crashes it's had is stupid. Zombies is too faffy in terms of the map being far too convoluted and single player has more cut scenes that MGS2 had when that came out.

Wholly displeased with it but seeing as it's the only newish game I own, looks like I'll have to stick with it. Could be worse I suppose.... could have bought Medal Of Honour!!!....
 
Any of you guys brought it on PC? Got it the week it came out, and played it on line for 20 minutes. It was way way to Buggy to play, so i haven't touched it since :(

Has it got any better?
 
I have not seen anyone mention it here but they announced the release date for the first map pack the other week.

Basically it's four new maps called First Strike, it will cost 1200msp and us Xbox users get it on 01 feb and other formats a month later.

The PC version is supposed to be pretty buggy and glitchy, on the other hand the console versions are spot on. I would have thought they would have patched the PC version by now? I've just got back into playing this after a few weeks away from it, still loving it!
 
LOVE the online game (on PS3) got to Prestige 1 Lv 31 - anyone fancy a game add me - - CM17-80 - - say that you're from TP when you add me otherwise I'll think it's some kid! :lol:
 
love BO now, 2nd prestige lvl 36, went back to MW2 and was like bleurgh this looks horrible. Bit sad :( but yea really enjoying blackops :)

PS3 is pretty bad too, much worse than the Xbox version, although from what I hear of how the PC crowd have been treated we have it pretty nice. The matchmaking system is still the biggest problem with the COD series IMO, it can take far too long to find a game and the host switching fails more often than it works on PS3. If they could resolve that then they'd be on to a winner (although judging by sales they already are)!
 
tbh from the word off I've not had bad problems with BlackOps on the PC, an odd stutter here and there but apart from that I've been fine. I know a lot of people have had bad problems though, patches have been released through steam and whatnot. And the thing I do like about the PC version is dedicated servers, so you can actually choose which server you want to play on, no matchmaking at all. Good since you can have fav servers, pick servers with only certain maps etc. The only bad thing about it is the amount of blasted '24/7 DOM NukeTown XP Server zOMG WTFBBQ prestige in a day' servers :bang:

yea..you know I used to like the matchmaking on MW2, came to BO and was like wtf...the hell is this malarkay? (MW2 was my first real foray into online PC gaming), when I tried MW2 the other day I was just like eh ffs hurry up and matchmake...with dedis its just find your fav server and bam in you go
 
I've played all of the games, MW i managed to hit lvl 50 in just 27 hours of game time, I just find they are getting worse.

I still go back to COD 1 and the add on :)

I sold mine last week, felt it was a big improvement over mw2, but thought the mp maps where pretty poor and unimaginative. Back to playing bad company 2 for me!

You didn't happen to be using any hacks at all? I know they were clamping down on people using them.
 
My friend signed in with a hacked 15th account just to show me, but we never went online. Deleted it after he showed me, then 2 days later I was console banned lol so sad as its only a game. I would love to go back to BFBC2 but I keep getting booted halfway in a game saying cant connect to EA servers!!!!!! Killzone 3 all the way until MW3.

The thing is I got all the way up to lvl 47 on BC2 and had no problems at all, then it just started. :(

Bummer. I do like BF2, I think I still prefer it to COD...
 
Black ops gets annoying with all the host migrations.
I have hardly played it, BFBC2 is where its at for me. Prefer the way it plays. A bit more of a thinking man's game rather than the run gun die, rinse and repeat of black ops. Not to say I don't play COD as lots of my mates have it, I just get more frustrated playing it and always end up going back on bad company 2.
I have already pre ordered battlefield 3, it will be awesome.

thats awesome that they are actually banning people for hacking I always thought it was just a rumour, I'm impressed. the hackers have totally ruined cod 4 and mw2, you cant play them anymore

True but a bit unfair I didn't do anything, also I know loads of people that have been banned and the sold the PS3 on eBay etc, I feel sorry for the people that buy them..... As Sony won't help.

Im sure as that happens more often there will be a solution. Treyarch can start banning the IP instead of the actual physical console for instance.

IP can be changed far to easily, console ban is the only option they have.

Agree 100%, I heard over 50000 were banned just on PS3. 360 owners were banned but when the map pack come out they was slowly getting unbanned?! Who knows? LoL good game shame it went down hill for me :(
