weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

Couldn't choose, like them all, great effect, gonna use that at some point (y)

Brilliant concept as others have said. I like them all but can't quite decide between 2 &3 as my face. Mmmmm decisions decisions. No3 is more abstract and as an ice appeal.. That's it No 2 is face nice and sharp throughout and I like the way all the fountains are displayed.

Love the miniature shots - unusual and very colourful! I think the first one works best as the eye follows the leaves of the palm.

Good idea for the theme, never tried one of these before.

Cool haven't seen one of these for ages! Love the palm tree - I saw a few just like that last night or was that the rum??

I like the unbalanced ... #1 is brill, seeing detail like a single tree.

Has this weeks theme been announced yet?

Poor Aslan. the Black and white one is definitely the best one. The rope is a bit iffy but I don't think I could have done it as well as you did the composition works much better in b/w.

the Miniature planets I cant decide if i like 2 or 3 best great idea

I like No2 but No1 for me this reminds me of pictures you see of earth from space, with a thin atmosphere and the cloud patterns awesome picture.(y)

Miniature - Nice images, I like the symetry in the fountain ones (it took me a while to realise what they were) but prefer the overall effect of #1. Almost feels like a little world in a globe.

Quick off the mark this week Chris, you must have known the theme before you post it up then. :)
LOL I had a bit of time on my hands and I knew it was going to be a hectic week-end so got stuck in as it were, as per the link, they don't take that long to produce TBH.

Thats a great effect, the clouds in number 1 do it for me, well done!

Excellent idea Cobra :) #1 for me ....I love the blue sky and the swirly planet effect ....it looks like a hurricane.

I really like these wee world images - lovely captures and interpretation - like 'em ! :)

Nice processing there @Cobra I guessed it was polar co-ordinates (I used them last year, but not as well as yours).
Some good tips in that linked video :)

Hi, #2 for me. #1 is a little unbalanced.I like the simplicity of #2.Cheers.
They very rarely are semetrical unless you do a fair bit of prepwork before hand, TBH I think I prefer the palm trees personally, and its a good job we aren't all the same eh? :)

The ropes were a real PITA to get right, ( and failed) its screams out re-shoot ;)

Miniature: number one for me. Blue sky and whispy white clouds add an extra dimension

Thanks for all the kind words and comments guys, they are much appreciated (y)

hi, number 2 for me, did one of these last year I think its a lot of faffing I seem to recall

I like number one best - so much to look at and puzzle over, but I guess 2 & 3 work best as mini planets with their symmetry.

Thanks Guys

@alsjazzera the basics are easy enough, Allan, but there is a certain amount of cloning etc to tidy it up after.
In case you missed it, this is quite a straight forward tutorial.

Its great fun, have a go, some are disasters but some come out half decent
You never know quite what you are going to get until you click the final button :)

Thanks for your kind comments guys
(the sarcasm is also appreciated :D )

Seems I've neglected to shoe horn in a few animal & gob shots recently let me put that right, right here, right now.

Bear Gob shots are hard to come by, and not really dramatic, so this one made me happy, and indeed the bear seems happy enough too.

It seems that Elephants are happy when they are allowed to make a trunk call.

Both right on theme bear and elephants all look very happy I like the bear best too.

The bear for me Cobra - definitely has a smile on his face :D
She was pleased to see me Jon :D

Haha, I was expecting some gob shots for this @Cobra. I especially like the bear shot, you have caught the bear really crisply yet managed to blur out the background too :)
It was shot wide open @ f/2.8 Tim, I love that lens

Well it had to happen - almost law of nature ... Where would TP be without these regular doses of Gob shots ha ha? Bear definitely looks Happy but playful nellies for me that show more obvious signs of being happy.

I'd want to see the bear's tail wag.

A couple of nice "happy" images, great captures.
Phil

Bear for me as well, he looks like he's having a good laugh

Yeah, Bear for me...needs to brush his teeth, though.
Must get to more animal photographs instead of selfies :)Cheers.
Its good fun :)

They are both really sweet for me. You can tell the bear smile is genuine..... you can see it in the eyes ☺. Nice lighting on both pics too

Thanks for the kind comments guys
