weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

Certainly fit the bill (geddit ;) )
The inclusion of the reflection is a + too
Yeah you are quite right Tim, that was terrible :p

Thanks for dropping by

lots of lovely colour, reflection too. :)

Certainly fits the theme, Mr Snake..... :D

Very sharp and colourful, good capture but is there a bit of a halo around the top of the flamingo?

Cheers Chris, I guess that's a rainbow as it was p***ing down :D

(Yes I see what you mean, but may have been down to the weather? )

colourful - very vibrant despite the rain, I like the detail in the plumage

Catch up time, no need to comment as I'm way behind this week.

My Entry because I know how he feels!

And an entrance too

Your entry for entry is nice and sharp but I think the entrance is very good indeed, great symmetry, well lit and very well rendered, I like that a lot.

A good effort I'd say and made me laugh with the first pic. Like the b&w conversion and am a sucker for symmetry. Nice detail too.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting guys, its appreciated :)
And I'm glad it made you smile Ian :)

Made me chuckle too Cobra.
Both are good images, well taken and as others have said, B&W suits the doorway.
I think I prefer the first shot though, for cuteness and the fact that it continues your run of many horned shoes,

I have to admit that is my favourite too :)

Horned shoe's Hmmm thats given me an idea :D

I always like B&W, the entrance is great, symmetrical, tone spit on. Where abouts is it out of curiosity ?

To my shame I should have added its an archive, I was some church or other in Spain recently, but I'm buggered if I can remember where, as it was a multi stop flying visit.

#2 for me. Wonderful conversion, composition and detail. What a belting door :) Cheers.

Your house??? Wow it is just like the entrance to our servants cottage!
Ah Boss, sorry about posting it :( :p

Thanks for the kind comments guys

Nice door. :D but needs a smidgen off the LHS

(I only say that because everyone's saying how perfect it is)

It just wouldn't be the same without a shoehorned animal...and that is a belter of a cute shot! I'm really enjoying the symmetry and wonderful patterns on the entrance, too - so much to look at (y)
Thanks Emma :)

I wondered who would be the first to pick that up, TBH my money was on Andy :D

Cheers David

Liking the bright flamingo, the texture of the water adds a lot to the image for me, gooood ole weather :)

Entrance, was at first wondering where that hand was, but think I best not ask !!! - And I do actually prefer the door entrance image, a wonderful bit of architecture, just love them doors, wondering what the colour is actually like but like the B&W treatment anyway

Cheers Dean, and TBH the colour is a bit bland, I saturated it before converting it, then played with the dodge and burn tools for a bit.

Here the original SOOC

Cool... cloned the cable out nicely too...
That healing tool in CS5 is a wonderful tool
Far easier than cloning things like that, it even took out part of the bollard bottom right with a couple of clicks :)

looking at this one I get a feeling you may, deep down, actually enjoy photography :D
Don't start spreading nasty rumours :p

Hi Mr.C. Both nice but like the symmetry and ornate architecture of Entrance best. Lovely detail.

Hi ChrisI actually really like your non-shoehorn Entrance shot. Well processed and basically just a very good image. You see, you can take photos of other subjects ;)
Its OK Paul, I think I'm over that particular brain fart now :D

Thanks for the kind words both they are appreciated :)

Nice shoot for Entrance Cobra really like the B&W white conversion looks so much nicer then the colour version for me. Some great detail in both the doors and the stone work around it

Aw, cute, and you're not the only one who feels like that sometimes :)

I prefer it to the non-shoehorned shot. Don't get me wrong, I like it and, as someone has already said, it looks like you might actually be enjoying this photography lark :p

Now, have you Forgotten about Size?
