weekly Cobra's 52 surreptitious Shoe-horns for 2016 week 52 celebrate and done

Yes, really nice takes Chris. Suitably on theme for me and very enjoyable shots to look at too (y)
Thanks for stopping by Paul, its appreciated :)

I agree with @SamuelSlade007 Far too cute to work for rough no matter how bit the horn is.
Great cute shots though :)
So, to get away with a shoe horn, go for the cute angle?
Right, got that :D

Thanks for dropping by Tim

Rough - definitely number 1, second one looks way to cuddly. Are they red pandas? They always seem to hide whenever I've been to a zoo with them, haven't seen one in the real yet.

Cheers Steve, yes they are Red Panda's and it's the same at Whipsnade, many people don't seem to think they exist there either,
they are usually snoozing high up in the branches, but I go there loads, and got to know their ( erratic) routine,
for feeding or coming down to go to the nest box to sleep.

Lovely colours and details in Rough Cobra very nice indeed

I'm running out of time this week!
This is snap of Muppet taken on a camera phone during a fag break today.
OK so I was having a fag break he was having a chick break.
He is just about to start moulting, but for now he's still covered in feathers, and his face is covered in bits of chick.

(Shame about the background :( )

Oi you lot... stop posting new images after I pinned a few tabs yesterday to comment on some shots :D

Covered - Lovely shiny eye there Chris, is that you I see in the reflection !!! - not so sure that chick remains are good for my tea time though, only kidding, as for the background, the detail of the feathers distracts away from that for me :)

Good sharp shot, not sure if "like" is the right word but I like the gore on his beak, it gives a real sense of purpose.

Eww...try it at breakfast time! I bet he won't be looking half so handsome during his moult - our chickens always look very pathetic and sorry for themselves indeed

Not bad for a grab shot Cobra lovely catch light in the eye

Well... Red Pands, babby ones at that, how can one fail to impress with them, I'd love to be able to visit frequently to catch shots like this, real nice light and colours as well as composition, nice one Chris

Indeed it is Dean (sorry about that :( ) :D

He's just a messy eater Chris :D

Too right Emma, he looks a bloody mess TBH, but great when he comes out the "other end" :)

blood & guts ... I like.

Thanks for the kind comments guys, they are appreciated :)

Hi Cobra ...love the baby red panda , how cute is that ....the first one does look a bit rough, but it looks as if they had a cuddle afterwards, you've caught the gorgeous colour of the fur there too.

Super phone shot of Muppet, he looks really good on the ipad, lots of lovely detail. Have you owned him since he was small and trained him yourself ?

Covered in feathers ! What a great idea, my thoughts are this is great for concentration:)
Chris
It does make you think ( laterally in my case for the shoe horns :D ) doesn't it?

You should have seen Mum trying to put it back in the nest box, it reminded me of trying to put a worm back in its hole ( It aint gonna happen :D )

I've trained loads Suzie, however not this one, he was bought at about 5 years old, a year or so back, by the company I work for.
I just keep / fly and feed the little sod.

This however is Donut, she's about 18 months old, owned and was trained by me.
As you can see she is also a messy eater :D

Thanks for dropping by guys

Vast - Ahh, I love that vast mouth! It’s brilliant! :D

Rough - Love the second one with the two creatures hugging. They look so cute! I don’t think it look like rough love to me, so luckily you have that rough bark in the background, lol. :P

Covered - Good looking chap! But I don’t like his dirty mouth. He needs to clean up his act!

Fanstastically sharp shot, Chris, for a camera phone, mine 3 yr old HTC isn't anywhere near up to the job (except for grab shots).
Is leaving food around the mouth a bit like leaving bits of pasty in beards. Saving something to eat later ;)

Mum had the cub by the throat and was hauling it around, she was hardly hugging it :D

He gets a bath when he's finished working ( yes really)

Actually that's a 2 odd year old HTC, Tim, and TBH its rather hit and miss.

Absolutely :D

Thanks for dropping by Guys :)

Hi nice portrait it has it's limitations but works well

I like Muppet primarily because of the colouring but those feathers are look soft and downy and that beak with the food debris tells a tale too. Awesome shot.

Two great shots - the first one certainly gives a sense of realism with his beak covered in chick!!

Indeed it does Al it was a bit of a grab shot TBH, as I was running out of time and ideas.

Possibly not as soft as you imagine Carl, the chest feathers are called "mail" feathers after the knights attire.
When they dive into brambles or scrub, after prey ( Rabbits etc) head first, they do offer some protection.

You can't take him anywhere TBH, Liz, he's such a messy eater :D

Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by guys, its appreciated

Muppet looks Covered alright. A bit too gruesome around the beak area but I guess no one is going to kiss him anyway.

Who is that sharing the fag break with you? Great reflection in the eye. Phone cameras can be fab at times.

but I guess no one is going to kiss him anyway.
I told him you said that and he's hurt now :(
Who is that sharing the fag break with you?
Blimey! there's nothing wrong with your eye sight :D Its just me, I'm on the left, you can just make out the stripe of the fluorescent waistcoat,
the other reflection is the corner of the blue / grey building I was sat near. (Hiding behind :D )

Thanks for your kind words Jill :)

Covered- shoehorn or not it's a great shot particularly for one taken on a phone.

Those covered shots are lovely - great job! The phone shot is particularly impressive in the circumstances
Cheers guys I appreciate your comments

You try getting a colourful shot while its p***ing down :(
Not an epic fail but as most stuff was hiding I had to make do with this.

I'd be more than happy with that Mr.C. Beautifully vibrant plumage and a nice sharp yellow eye keeping a look out. Very colourful.

Very nice and colourful Duck there

Love the reflections pity you couldn't get him/her to turn round....
