"And the award for best actress...."

It was the year seven awards ceremoney at Rebeccas school today.

A select number of pupils receive awards (some for achievments in certain subjects, some for 100% attended / punctuality etc). Rebecca got an 'Effort' award for consistantly good work in all her classes. She also got two 'class' awards yesterday - one for smartest uniform, and one for most helpful student :)

"School's Out For Summer!!"

Rebecca had her last day as a year seven pupil today, so now we are faced with 6 weeks of "I'm Bored!!", until she's back there as a year eight'er

"Somebody Build Me An Arc!!"

Its the first day of the 'summer' holidays for Rebecca and its rained and rianed and rained. I don't think its ever going to stop. Its not all bad though as we live quite high up a hill so at least when the country floods we'll be nearer to the beach and the house prices in our area will go up!!

"Two Player Game!"

Caught the girls playing side by side on the DS's while i was sat there watching 'Speed-Racer' (again!). The DS's have got to be one of the best value presents we have ever bought them. Although they don't yet have the DSi's they will be on their christmas lists ;)

I must also take a moment to apologise to all the people whose 365's i've not been commenting on recently. It's not intentional, but more to do with the fact that i seem to be getting precious little time to myself at the moment. I WILL try and catch up with them all over the next few days and leave comments - i promise ;)

Christmas holds the final stretch to 365 completion! :D

"Rainy Day Entertainment!"

We were due to go out on our sunday walk this morning, but 'rain stopped play', so the kids did some 'art & craft' type stuf and made plaster Monsters Inc characters which were then painted.
 
Some great portraits Chris, the first one of today's in particular, mono really adds something extra :)

I'm the same, even bored my wife to tears, by explaining that if I had to choose one photo effect to use from now on, it would be B&W :)

"Laughing Her Socks Off!"

Rebecca was in a laughable mood tonight and it only took one silly joke for her to burst into fits of laughter!

"Attack Of The Mutant Killer Giant Ladybugs!"

Caitlins class made a giant Ladybird in school and there was a draw to see who had the honour of taking it home. Guess who won!!

The only problem is it went out of control and tried to eat her. I was in two minds wether to run and get the giant bug spray or get the camera, so i got both!
 
Need to check if Chris is feeling ok . . . . . . It's a photo, but not in mono :)

Day 199 - classic! I took a similar'ish shot of my boy and his friend playing on the Xbox. If only they concentracted that hard on their homework! :D

Thanks Dave. We're actually quite lucky (at the moment) in that they enjoy school and homework and tend to buckle down and get it done. :)

"Smash & Grab!"
Guides and Brownies went to the local Hollywood Bowl as a treat before the summer break. They have an Arcade section with loads of these STUPID machines in them. The amount of money i wasted in them i could have bought my girls a toy each!
