"Doing Something Funny For Money!"

Tonight the girls did a sponsored three-legged walk along the main pedestrian area of Stalybridge. The locals in the pub were bemused to say the least!

All together 34 guides did the sponsored walk :thumbs:

On the wide picture my girls are fourth and eleventh from the left.

"There Is No Spoon!"

Rebeccas art homework is to draw a picture of herself as seen in the back of a spoon. That gave me an idea for a 365 picture, but i could not decide which of these two shots i liked ;-)

They certainly have a 'hands-on' approach to teaching, which is great, and she really enjoys school :)

First day this year when it's been nice enough for Caitlin to get her bike out.

Thanks SM - it does have that certain look, but i dont know why. It reminds me of pictures from the 1970's ish.


On a slightly differnt note, i've got some updates coming - providing i can get the images off the memory card. All was going well, and then the camera decided to show [CHA] - meaning the memory card is corrupt.

Luckily its only the last 4 days of 365, including tonights shots (i use a card specifically for the 365), and the software seems to be recovering a lot of the images. Its indicating around 15% data loss at the moment, so time will tell.

Well i managed to get most of the images back from the memory card, so all is not lost :)

"Head In A Box"

This is more of a work-in-progress shot for an idea i had in my head. Since shooting this i have had ideas to improve this and bring it up to the standard i first envisaged ;)

"Mothers Day"

The shot i wanted was one of the corrupted ones on my memory card (had a better timed kiss on it), but this was a close second :)

"The Pink Parlour"

This will give an idea of how much my girls like PINK!! Everything from the wall, to the curtains, to the lapshade is girly pink. This is Rebecca's bedroom, but caitlins is just as pink, if a little smaller :)

It also highlights how untidy she is :)

Up close and personal at 17mm :)

If you look closely, you can just see Rebecca peeping through the gap in her flippers :)

Bit of a 'sneak-attack' with this one. Armed with the 70-200 on the D700 i was well behind Rebecca when i took this shot and when the flash fired she literally jumped out of her skin :D

"Care To Dance? (Caitlin)"

The Dance Studio that my girls attend are having an 'open-weekend' this weekend, and the girls are doing some dance demonstrations. Todays was Caitlins, and this is her dancing with George.
