I've been doing a little bit of work in the back over the last few days (laying a path / building a raised flower bed) and as a consequence the decking was filthy. Caitlin wanted to help jet-wash the decking and who am i to argue!

Easter Holidays and homework still has to be done. Both of the girls are really good when it comes to homework and they both understand the importance of concentrating on their schoolwork. They've both had a busy day, but Caitlin sat down and completed her maths homework without complaint :)
 
That is a very serious concerntrating face, hope my girls are as good when they go to school and have homework to do :)

"Backlit Portrait"

Been having a play with heavily backlit fill flash tonight (for all of ten minutes), to see what i could come up with.

Thanks Dave, I'm quite pleased with the shot and gives me something to build on.

The both have lovely natural smiles (although Caitlins is a very cheeky smile :lol: )

Just had another catchup - as usual great shots and a great record :) Well done for keeping going, and well done to the girls for not getting sick of it yet either :p

On a side note you seem to be straying over the 800pixels on longest edge rule, in fact cant find a picture on last few pages that is within that rule. If you could sort that it would be much appreciated ;)

Thanks JL

Todays was a slip-up (left it at default on lightroom export - which is 1000px wide) and the others are all 800 px wide at export but Lightroom puts 2 x 1% borders on them :bang: - i'll have to do some calculations and adjust for all future ones.

Are the existing ones ok as they are (except the 1000px one of course) or do i have to go through and replace them all?

No probs, if you ever have a bored afternoon and feel like resizing the others thats cool (save someone else spotting them and reporting each one) but don't worry about if not :) Just dont let it happen again! :bat: hehe
 
I'm thankful JL hasn't looked at the first lot in my 365!! The recent one's are ok, I promise ;)

Lovely portrait shot Chris, the girls seem to be enjoying it more, or is it just me?

Yes they're really getting used to me pointing the camera at them at every oportunity, and are always asking "Whats today's picture dad!?!"
 
Really like the lighting, I can imagine it can be tricky not to blow out the shots? I think the last two shots would look good in B&W.

I did convert them to B&W, but decided agains posting them as i've posted a lot of B&W recently :)

I'll post em up later for comparison ;)
