Chillimonster's '365'

Thanks Marc :)

I Leave the Ice-Hockey (and Players) to Adele :D

 ;)
Season over, you'll only be getting training if and when I go down, or amatuer matches. I really should post a proper thread of the steelers stuff that I did, at one of the games. I've been told that my pictures are better than the pro who does them  I Dont think they are!

"Working At The Carwash!"

Back to work for me tomorrow after a nice relaxing week off with the girls. I took advantage of the glorious weather we're having at the moment and cleaned the works van. Of course Caitlin wanted to help me as it involved water :)

Hehe, when your not making them smile, your making them work :)

When my girls are a little older I will show them your 365 chris ;)

"New Glasses"

Just a quick shot of Rebecca in her new Glasses tonight.
Flash bounced off wall to left.

"Scary Hairy!"

Bit of a last minute rush shot tonight as when we left swimming tonight we saw a H-U-G-E plume of smoke coming from the Oldham area.

Rebecca and myself went to the top of the hill we live on to get a better view and shot some pictures of the blast at Maple Mill, Hathershaw.

I've sent these in to the BBC and have just this minute got off the phone to one of their representitives, and apparantly they are going to be used on the BBC news on breakfast TV in the morning :woot:

If you want a nosey at them they're on my flickr. They're not the best, but considering it was very windy, and i was shhoting handheld they turned out quite well (wish i had my tripod though :bang:), and give a good sense of the scale of the fire as its around 5 miles away in a straight line.

Great shot, really like it, that one will sure bring a chuckle when it's brought out in future years ;)

Yes, I'm sure it will raise a chuckle.

I started to make organise the pages of the 365 book all of these pictures are going to be in at weekend (thought i'd start it now rather than the last minute). The big idea is to have a few copies done - one each for the girls memory boxes, one for my mum, one for me and Kerie and one for handing round showing it off. Its gonna cost me a fortune

Funny - I ordered the first 50 or so of mine yesterday (one copy only though). My thinking was lots of small payments might hurt less than one big one :)

"Up Close & Personal!"

Inspired by Marc's W-A-M shots, here's Caitlin at the short end of the 17-35mm :)

"Brace Yourself!"

Rebecca went to the Orthadontist today to have her brace fitted. She's not to keen on it at the moment as she's having trouble sounding certain letters etc, but that'll pass in a day of two.

Chris, just having a catch up, Scary Hair is great as is the one of Caitlin, 17mm really is wide on FF!! I had braces for about 2 years, they hurt like billy-o back then, I'm sure they have improved since my day. :)

Thanks JD.

It's a mammoth task keeping track of all the 365's sometimes isn't it :)

It is tough to keep up to date. I am off back to Munich (I lived there for a long while and my wife was born there) tomorrow for the weekend and so will have to catch up when I get back.

"That'll Teach Em!!"

Went to Portland Basin Museum with the kids today and had a good look around at our local history. The Museum has recently re-opened after refurbishment and we all had a great time.

I tried to 'age' this picture in post-processing - did it work?

Excuse me being out of date on this one, Chris, I've been on holiday and am just having a quick catch-up. This is superb and I think the colours and saturation are spot on. I've just been comparing with a hand coloured print of my mother and father from the late 40's/early 50's and whilst it is true that the print is less saturated than your image I think that is more to do with over 50 years of fading. I expect that the print when it was new would have had pretty much the same characteristics as your image. :)

Thanks John, and thank you for the comparison. I had nothing to compare to when i was PP'ing this image, so i'm glad it worked out so well :)
